Dorsett one of Fastest in CFB

So much speed and talent at the WR position. They're gonna look awesome standing on the sideline while we trot out there with (multiple) mediocre TE's.

SMH

Multiple TEs were used generally late in games to pound the football(Wake, UNC) and just to run the ball in general. Also late in the season they became more prominent when Dorsett, Scott, Lewis, Waters and Hurns to some extent were either out or limited. After game 1 when Scott got hurt Dorsett, Waters, Coley and Hurns were the only WRs we had that were good to go and attrition happened there as the season went on. We didn't really have 6-7 to run out there in a rotation.

We missed him and the deep threat after his knee injury.

It takes more than speed. He needs more body control and needs to work to create separation at the point of contact, i.e. The line of scrimmage.

He needs a break out year...

He's a blazer, and anyone suggesting he is not an asset -in spite of his drops- is nuts. Dude is good for 1k; Coley is good for 1k; Duke should be good for 1k.

We have the potential to be LETHAL on offense.

Can run one route incredibly well. Hopefully our QB can hit him on said route.
Pretty much this. I like Dorsett and he's a great asset to have, but he's one dimensional. Luckily, he is great at that one dimension, but if the QB can't get it to him on that route then his value drops drastically. Morris was pretty much only good at one thing and that was chuckin it to Phil.

Dorsett can run routes. He's not good with the ball in his hands, but he is quick in and out of his breaks.

Yall sleeping on this man lol stop taking away from his game because he's not shifty like you want

never had a problem with him @WR . Just take him off returns we have guys that can do a lot more with less speed

James Coley concerns me. His route concepts/combinations are just plain dreadful. I honestly don't know if he has what it takes to take all this talent we have and craft a lethal offense out of it even with Aaron Rodgers at QB. I'm not exaggerating either. This cat has me genuinely concerned as much as the doofus on the other side of the ball.

Love the kid, just don't run anymore reverses with the guy.. He has no shake'n-bake in him, which lead him to being injured.

Gotta find a way to focus on our players strengths, and use them accordingly. Dorsett is a deep threat, period.

When Dorsett was a known commodity last season during his 5.25 game healthy stretch. He drastically disappeared off the face of the earth.

He caught 13 of 21 passes thrown his way. Which equates to 62% of the time he catches the ball. Hurns during the same span caught 21 of 29. Which comes out to 72%. Dorsett catches 72% of the passes thrown his way his soph year and he goes over a 1000 yards easy. The 2012 GT game. He was thrown at 17 times and came up with 9 of those. Granted 9 catches is a **** of a lot, but 52% is what is glaring.

Jarvis Landry of LSU caught 25 of 29 passes in the same 5.25 span. 86% of the time he came up with the ball. 10 straight qtrs without a dropped pass.

Even if you look back on his soph season during the 1st 5.25 qtrs. He still only managed to catch 65% of his passes. He declined under a softer 2013 schedule to 62% and 10 less catches.

Dorsett has speed for days, but without Morris big arm. He is going to have to get those hands glued up and work on his short game. Getting off the line better and running crisp routes. Nobody is going to let him walk behind them anymore and there is no QB that can beam the ball way out yonder.

I hope the young man gets it together this season. I hope we finally have a QB that can throw guys open and allow them to use what they have. If he is going to the the next step. He can't be getting shut out by avg Joe's this year. With Coley on the field. Teams should not be able to shut these guys down. They get it right. They could be a duo like Landry and Beckham. 2 1000 yard receivers. Could be the 1st 2 to go down in the record books here.

PD took the top off about every defense he has faced. He might have dropped a couple against ND, BUT he scared the living crap out of them and they had to alter their defense for him(looked like they started 20 yards deep and then just turned and ran). If our staff and QB were worth a crap, the TE would have had a field day in the huge space PD created. The swamp scum are still trying to catch him(and remember that was gator d at full strength). He is not the best with the ball in his hand but my lord, how many players alter the other teams defense.
