If UM sits back in soft zone and lets wr and te run free - FSU will score at will - FSU does not turn the ball over often, so UM must challenge them and take it away - maybe game plan some off of BC
UM needs to have the mentality of BAMA on D - not want to give up one inch much less a yard or first down - I know we are not BAMA but that mentality serves them well as their D has improved throughout the year -
Bama runs as much zone as any team in the country.
We consistently brought 5 against UNC, but UNC ran a lot of quick plays and kept a back in to block other times. There's not magical scheme to beat offenses, the players have to make plays, the blitzers weren't getting there and McCord and AQM were shut down for a majority of the game.
The only thing I didn't like in the UNC game is the obviousness of when the DL was running stunts. We'd put McCord or AQM (or both) inside and run them around the DTs slanting in, made it fairly obvious.
