D A F U Q ?!! lol
Why are you assuming “getting over the hump” means winning a national championship? I never said that, I actually used Dillingham at ASU for reference. (Someone who hasn’t one a NC). And what are going to say when Dabo and Kirby don’t win it all this year? And just to clarify since you’re playing dumb, *GETTING OVER THE HUMP* means turning the University of Miami into a program that is in the playoffs and minimum competing to win the ACC year in year out.You said something to the effect of "he can't get us over the hump".
ANSWER THE **** QUESTION .... which coaches other than Kirby and Dabo have gotten over the hump?
LMAO you're too funny! But I’m excited for next season.
Yes, the offense will take a step back, that’s a given. BUT the defense will improve, that’s also a given. Here’s my reasons for excitement:
1) The offensive talent. No doubt a lot of really good players on that side of the ball, we saw it today. Trader is the goods. The OL I expect to actually be better next year. Next year’s offense will be more run heavy, and that’s okay. Find a serviceable qb and think the offense will be fine.
2) The schedule. We play Notre Dame at home first game (they’ll be breaking in a new qb) and UF at home (they’ll be good, I think). I think we have a shot in both even with the QB question mark
3) The defense. It can’t be as bad as it was this year. Guidry will be gone. The additions to the secondary already will improve the defense. Reason for optimism.
Mario isn’t great, but this is the best team we have had in a long time. He’s improved his coaching.
Regarding Pop-Tarts: sucks to lose I guess but we played with the backup the entire second half and could have just run it and won. The FG we made I didn’t mind because you assume ISU scores a TD … the problem is you tried to stop them from scoring when you know you couldn’t and wasted 2+ mins. If not, you likely have 2 timeouts + the 2 mins warning to run and drive the field for a game winning FG. Ultimately doesn’t matter.
5 —> 7 —> 10 with the OL much improved and DL is fine (think they underperformed due to Guidry if I’m being honest)
Either way, it’s just football. I love Miami and loved my time there but really we should be one of the better teams in the ACC which for now means fighting for a playoff spot. We’ll see.
Happy New Year and Go Canes!
2017 team was better IMO!But I’m excited for next season.

You're right. There are at least 15 coaches in the P4 not named (Kirby/Dabo) that have had "great" seasons and "gotten over the hump" in the last 10 years that we should have chosen over Mario. Why are you assuming “getting over the hump” means winning a national championship? He defined it as having a "great season".I think you have to define "hump" first
I thought that was really strange = by this time of the season you should know every playThe most frustrating part of the game was watching all of their offensive players read plays off their arms while we couldn't get lined up to save our life. They beat us play after play, and they didn't even have their plays memorized.
Uhhhh yes getting over the hump for University of Miami is different from other programs. Not sure what’s so hard to understand. We’ve been a **** program for decades. Getting over the hump for Ohio State would be different than ours. They are consistently in the playoffs and competing for national championships, but Day is rumored to be in trouble if they fall short again this year. Getting over the hump for Miami is simply just getting us back to a respectable team year in year out, which Mario clearly isn’t doing. You're right. Some of yall still haven't learned that this Run Heavy, play Defense & kick Field Goals dream yall keep hoping for is NEVER going to work at Miami.
When we're down by 17 against a below .500 team on the road & we're still just handing the ball off in the 3rd quarter going for 3 & outs, you'll look up & wonder to yourself, "Man wtf are we doing??"...
The answer to that question will be exactly what you wished for.
Get it through your thick fxkin skulls, WE ARE NOT MICHIGAN OR ANY OTHER MIDWESTERN B1G TEAM. WE CANNOT WIN WITH THAT STYLE OF PLAY.
That's brutalThis has Travis Hunter saying “I know my girl you don’t “ type energy
