Doing What They're Supposed to Do

It felt good not to have to pad the score trying inflate PPG.
We scored at will, we can hang 48 on anyone in the country.
We aren’t mad today asking why a better player isn’t starting.
They dominated yesterday in a let down spot with no juice from the crowd.

The team did not come out flat or unfocused. Good signs for games to come. I don't expect this to be a mannydiaz special where we give away the first quarter and have to play catch up.

I love that Dawson put the read-option keeper on film for teams. I know we all want TVD to be in a glass jar all season long, and I don't expect him to be Cam Newton, but I said once watching Tune and Houston last year that TVD might get 500 yards rushing by accident lol.

Jacurri Brown has that spot post TVD
I'd really like to see Shanny D try to find creative ways to get Jacurri involved with his athleticism in a position that does not involve the forward pass.

Kid is a winner all day tho.

Team is definitely MUCH more physical than we've seen. That nasty streak on the OL—including from the young guys—is so welcome after the past decade. The Cohen penalty was dumb, but I'll take it in this type of blowout (we were up 5 scores at that point, I believe) if nothing else to set a physical tone for the rest of the season. DL seems to have that attitude as well, just need a couple more dudes to develop and bring in another couple DTs.

x2

It’s something they will have to start respecting, we will be able to keep defenses more honest now.

@DMoney speculated in his pregame podcast that they don't want to waste his 4 "free" games for a game like BC, that we'll see him in packages vs. the biggest opponents like UNC, Clemson and FSU. That way he can have the most impact and still retain his redshirt.
