Do you guys feel comfortable with Ryan Williams?

I did speak.for myself you don't **** so don't try to tell me what you think he's not the answer and you can cry all you want but he's a dud and if you don't like what I said ignore me or shut up

If he earns it, I am comfortable with him. I thought during the season he was the better QB with S. Morris not being able to plant the back leg due to the high ankle and was sailing his passes, I thought we had a better chance to win with him. (Mainly in the VT and Duke games); however, there was no excuse for the Bowl on the ankle.

A lot of assumptions about who is the best QB are made by folks who either don't know or don't state how they know. Perhaps Morris was the best practice QB, but on game day he was way worse than average. Unless a poster was a witness to practices all that is known is how he performed on gameday. Most games he was the second (sometimes third) best QB on the field.

There are players on the team who have also played the position in HS at a high level (perhaps including walk-ons) I find it difficult to fathom why they could not have done better than the consistently bad performances we saw this year.

Yeah, yeah, the guy throws the occasional long ball, whoopeee! So let's see what the NFL thinks of him.

I agree with you regarding Morris' limitations. But benching your senior QB is a complex decision especially with the circumstances the team has been under. IMO the saga the team has been through made it harder for AG to deal with some underachieving seniors as he would have under normal circumstances. Loyalty to Shannon's players who stood by him and did not participate in the NCAA violations, team unity and program image etc,.........

I bet our TOP and 3rd down conversion % goes up. Not sure if our scoring goes up, but our points allowed will probably decrease.

Let's see. Couldn't beat out the worst qb in miami history I'm gonna say no
Morris is the worst QB in Miami history? When did you start watching Miami football? LOL
Morris had a good year last year and his stats are among the best in Miami history. He just regressed in his senior year and the injury to Duke and Dorsette brought his limitations to light. Don't get me started!

Like I said before, benching Morris and playing Williams would have been a very complex decision for AG to make for a variety of reasons.

I'm fine with Ryan Williams if he's indeed the starter. Hearing from multiple outlets that Olsen's work ethic has been a huge question makes me believe he'll be the next coming of Kyle Wright - immense talent who enjoyed the luxuries of being a college football player without actually working.

The offense will likely change a bit as Williams doesn't have anywhere near the arm that Morris does (which is about the only positive that I can give Morris). With the next offense, I can see Williams utilizing his TE's in Walford and Sandland more next season. Also, this offense will likely utilize more routes with the burners that we have at receiver.

With that being said, I'm really intrigued how Dorsett's going to refine his game as I've only seen him have success with screens and going long. I'm not sure how refined he is as a route runner. But given the likely starter next season, he may want to work on his route running in the offseason. Just my 2 cents.

I'm talking last 15-20 yrs dude. Been watching since 80s. Barely remember costa but he may have been worse. Morris is awful. Can close his eyes on throw a deep ball, that is it. Not a miami caliber qb. Fact

Well if your hopng for Olsen to start players are saying no way he starts over RYan...

I like Williams a lot. Were gonna have crazy playmakers on offense next year, an accurate fifth yr senior is the way to go. At least he can throw to the middle of the field and get some first downs

Hopefully Ryan will start next year, then Kayaa will replace him as a red-shirt Freshman in 2015. Olsen will probably transfer after he is beat out by Kayaa in 2015. This would be my perfect scenario for Miami in the next 2 years.

No I hope Kaaya wins the job midyear once he learns how to read defenses and proves himself, anyone who played behind Morris I do not want to be our leader

I believe Williams has touch, something Morris truly lacked. He will be able to get guys like Duke, Yearby and Powell in space, and with their talent and speed could take it to the house.

A bit extreme IMO. I think Al was loyal to a fault with Morris.

The limited action Williams saw, I think he looked decent and he used the TE more. Think his progressions looked promising too.
