I mean he was never given a real chance to play alot in games and I may be wrong but I feel very uncertain going in next year with him at Qb. Why not let Olsen or Kayaa progress into in the role. I mean look at what these QBs are doing as freshman (Manziel, Winston, Hackenburg, etc....)

GO CANES ! :neonu::neonu:

May the best QB win the job. I don't really care who it is, as long as they can convert on 3rd down.

I think he will manage the game better than Morris and do a better job in getting the ball his playmakers than what Morris did.

Doesn't really matter because that's who will more than likely start anyways.

Yea as long as he can get it to his play makers and make simples unlike morris who tried to do to much we should be fine... i hope

Depends on the offense that they put him in, if it is the same simple offense where they never throw to the middle of the field, he will struggle as much as any other quarterback.

**** I don't know...normally when a current starter is hurt you put the backup in to get the starter healthy. How can anyone comfortably say they are fine with Williams starting?

More than how I feel about Williams specifically, I'm comfortable moving into the post-Morris era.

It's amazing how big a difference one position/player out of 22 can make in a football team.

If you have a stud QB, you're probably a really good team.

If you have a slow, streaky, unreliable, strong-armed but weak-minded, unmotivated, uninspired, satisfied-with-mediocrity, slightly downsy, Snickers-eating QB, well then you're probably Miami.

Glad to finally see who's up next. I suppose it could somehow be worse, but ultimately we weren't going to do anything of significance with Morris leading this team. Therefore, I'm ready for the new guy, Williams or otherwise.

Best guy plays, which despite Golden's performance based rhetoric, didn't happen this year. Williams should have gotten more action this year when Morris was faltering.

Exactly....Morris was terrible. I just can't fathom how we didn't make a move during the season. Maybe Coker transfers, Olsen wins the job...Williams wins the job...whatever. I'm just excited at the prospect of seeing a crossing route hit in stride over the middle....or anything over the middle...or anything that's not an out, hitch, or 9 route.

While it would be nice to have a game changer at QB we can win with an accurate QB that can get the ball in Stacy Coley and Dukes hand and at the very least doesn't struggle to complete a simple screen pass and throw an out route in the dirt. I think Ryan can do that. From the little we have seen from him he looks to throw a catchable ball and excels in intermediate throws.

Williams looks like he can be a excellent college QB, like many of our NC qbs. Doesn't have NFL arm--so what. This is the NFL. With our WRs we do not have throw the ball 60 yards to have a 60 yard play.
