The element of surprise that BC used with their sets will not be an advantage for us. The majority of BC's rushing yards came in the first 16 minutes of play. For the last 3 quarters, FSU held BC to a decent rushing total. FSU adjusted.
BC also took advantage of some special teams plays.
In the second half, they threw a long TD pass. The rest of the time was basically a two score game (with FSU up 2 scores).
Lu, if we start of running the ball and force them to adjust I think we take that because then we can hopefully take advantage on the outside......the problem with BC was they couldn't get seperation. BC's WRs were terrible and once they used up all the gimmick plays they were screwed.
Their best "gimmick" was going unbalanced. FSU's DL had no idea what their assignments were. Coley can run inside, outside, power or zone, but he absolutely has to keep them off-balance. Morris absolutely has to hit his underneath throws. When I re-watched the WF game, Morris left some yards on the field on PA plays out of the zone stretch.
Start the game with a WR pass. **** everyone.
