Do these players care about winning anything...

We've had tons of players leave to be mid round picks. It's garbage. Guys like Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Ed Reed, and Jerome McDougle came back for their senior years yet we have the next guy who is dying to leave to be a third or fourth round pick. Yay!!

Those dudes knew what they had and what they'd get for coming back. Next years team has a ton of potential but will never be mentioned with the 2001/2 teams.

Santana and Reggie Wayne and Damione Lewis came back to Miami after they went 9-4 in 1999. Despite Miami fans' hazy memories it wasn't like it was obvious that we had an NFL team coming back for 2000. We also had kids who didn't leave to be fourth round picks.

I don't need you judging my memory thanks.

What were we talking about.

Ok, that's fair about the 99-2000 transition. Look at all those dudes who left despite low draft grades when al came. Sure, al sucked but they still would have done better to have stayed.

I don't care if Kaaya leaves this year or next, I still don't think he's going to be a good professional QB. He runs in quicksand like he has molasses on his feet. And he can't feel the heat behind him until it knocks him out. Probably because of the quicksand he is in.

Not only is the backup better than the starter, now a kid in his is better than a 4th year senior coming back.

thats exactly right, what has brad kaaya done besides throw away big games in crunch time, he is like tony romo up to this point unless he can win this bowl game.

Interesting, I have also paralleled Kaaya and Romo because they both play like con artists. They do what it takes to make their individual stats look impressive at first glance. Then you look at the on field results and you realize these guys pad stats with no pressure but shrink during the truly meaningful moments.
They have tangible skills but lack the intangible faculties to will a team to overachieve or beat the odds.

Yeah, that's all we've been missing the past few years. The "intangibles" at one position on the field. Golden would have won plenty of big games if it wasn't for Kaaya!

The fact that you guys still buy into this corny narrative **** is unreal. Kaaya came up as big as you can against FSU on fourth down this year and his team let him down. I guess his lack of intangibles caused us to run a chinese fire drill extra point.

i think perry will be ready if he is anything like lamar jackson which they have alot in common

What do they have in common?

Not a god **** thing but you have so many delusional people on here it's crazy. Anybody expecting anything more from Perry next year than holding a clipboard, you're in for a rude awakening.

Jimmy freakin Larranaga would be worried about playing Perry next year at that kid's current build. I guess some people either think he's gonna put on 30lbs by the summer or they don't care if he gets snapped in half.

Truthfully if brad is not a top 15 pick he should come back. The guy could bearly make a second read and he thinking about the NFL. Njoku could bearly catch the football and block but he thinking about the NFL they both need to stay.

it looks like they're locks for Chicago I guess

As much as I want Njoku to stay, he would be stupid if he did...

The league salivates for athletic freak pass catching TE's like him & GM's actually respect the prestige of the Miami TE in the NFL.

People that make a huge issues about blocking just don't get how much GM's value a TE like Joku.
Just look at the last two TE classes for the draft, incredibly weak, Joku will be a high commodity after the combine.

With Kaaya, it's crazy how he's the all-time passing leader in school history & never won a big game once.
Imo, he's a fool for leaving early, not because of the money, but because he still needs a ton of work.

I don't have a problem with him coming back, but I'm also not having a heart attack if he leaves...

I'm one of the biggest Perry fans on here, but he's gonna need a shirt year & won't be ready, hopefully Allison can get the job done.

I like Weldon a lot too, but I don't think he'll be ready day 1 either & I'm sorry, but I think we actually regress with Rosier as the starter.

Any thoughts on The Sheriff?

What does Njoku do really well? All I keep reading is how well he will perform in shorts and a t-shirt. People talking about Kaaya not doing anything meaningful during his time here, which I agree with, but what has Njoku done? Against quality opponents, what memorable plays has the kid made?

i agree wit this. Njoku is an athlete freak. he needs to go.
Honestly, Brad aint dumb. he has taken a beating and he knows scouts are overrating him. he will interview well and get a team to **** away money on him.
he is not going to lead us to a playoff next year, the kid just doenst have "it". what will NFL scouts see next year, he still floats the ball? still can't make a second read? still have the ball too long? he's smart to leave.

That was a clutch throw (probably the most clutch play he's ever made), but he also threw a horrendous end zone INT that completely flipped the momentum. If we go up 20-3, the game is over. Even a FG to go up 16-3 might've been enough with the way our defense was playing.

Just like our winning at a high level we've gotten away from players playing as a team and for something bigger than 3rd place in the conference and being a 3rd round draft choice.

Playing college football at a high level and getting a free quality education in the process is not a "sacrifice".

However, staying another year when you are ready for the NFL is a big risk. Guys come and go, so I'm okay with whatever the decide is best for them.

Njoku passes the eye test and will score well at a combine. His downside is he still has inconsistent hands. This plagued Hankerson at Miami until his senior season. He combined out very well. Gets to the Skins and drops too many balls and they let him go. Njoku would be best served to stay for his redshirt junior season. He should catch 60 balls next year and if he does it consistently he's a slam dunk first rounder. I think he's leaving money on the table.

No General Manager is drafting Brad in the first two rounds unless they want to lose their jobs. Until he demonstrates he can handle a collapsed pocket he is what he is. The game is lightening fast in the NFL and the ball has to come out even quicker and they'll be coming directly into his face. Better athletes have failed at the next level. What we saw was much better pocket presence the last 4 games but he didn't face top tier defenses. He could use another season.
