Don't get me wrong, we're all fans which means we are all gonna suspend logic and sense for long stretches of time and that's okay. But the desperate need to tear down every aspect of the team we profess to love for the sake of being right or real or first is just getting exhausting. Especially after this season.

While I agree with you that we cannot make a clear thumbs up decision on Emory as fans, it would not be illogical for us CIS readers to ask how the flows of reporting of Emory being the guy the staff loved, went to reports of us attacking the portal for a QB hard and fast, back to him being heralded again -- as if we were not all here reading it for the last 6 months.

Here’s the deal. Emory would be risky af. That’s coming from a guy that likes him and think’s he has potential.

Mario has proven to want a splash at qb and we know there’s as much money available for that position as any program. Now ask yourself this ……don’t you think agents around Cfb are aware of our current qb situation ? Do they know we missed on our plan A and now have move our focus elsewhere? I’m not the smartest **** walking around but I’d be willing to bet my left nut agents are putting feeler’s out like crazy. It’s just basic common sense.

That’s why I continue to say I’ll wait until this is over before I have a tantrum. Then I can be an emotional ****.

I’d guess it’s because fans are just fans and most haven’t been in a locker room past the jv football level in high school.

A coach is always looking to improve at each position. You want the best guys to play at every position. I think Emory is a solid qb in the coaches eyes, but a position group can always get better. Nickel may come in and blow people away. Emory might be fully ready. Mendoza might be the missing piece this year. Bottom line is that you bring in the best talent and let them compete it out. Best guy plays

Yes. You have to have been a tough and physical meatball to understand upgrading a roster.

You also have to be new to the board to not follow the patterns here.

I thought we had 3 big time QB’s reach out to us recently? Anything gain traction?

I’ll keep it a buck . I don’t think there’s a sure thing , really good qb option out there . Qb play is watered down on all levels right now. Mateer might have been the sexiest option but other than that what do we expect to find ? Look at the playoff and the qb’s ? So imo there’s not a guy that’ll blow up the skirts of cis who are already the most delusional qb evaluators going. I mean there’s a reason Mendoza has a pretty high asking price , because there’s not a lot out there. Just my take on the matter.

We were able to get Cam here after 2023. I don’t think it’s that hard to get a gb here after what cam has done. It feels like they are being very very selective because of their own confidence in Emory and that room. Right wrong or indifferent, I get it.

I would find it hard to believe we can’t get a solid quarterback here. If we don’t, it feels like that’s their own doing and decision. We will see when it’s done
