Franklin was always a defensive end not a defensive tackle. I don’t care about defensive ends as much. I know he should probably move to tackle, but he could still play SDE. I also wouldn’t mind adding more ends, but DT is the main focus. We signed one DT last year and only have one committed currently. You have to get Stone or Breland, preferably both. We don’t get Stone next Saturday then purge the recruiting board

NIL money was allocated to get multiple top notch/5 star D linemen this year. We’re currently 1 for 5ish? So that means all the rest of it is going to Stone, right? No brainer we bag that kid, right? Or are we gonna get another excuse about not wanting to “overpay” again and miss on him too?

Has more to do with Miss kids have a deep sense of pride about their home state schools. You don’t see it as much in south Florida. You will have some but it’s not like the Deep South. I worked with multiple players who played at Ole Miss and it’s just a different level of loyalty to their state schools.

We don’t land Stone it’ll be unbelievably disappointing. When you look at the talent & depth at DL in this ‘24 class it is as deep a year as you can ask for. Stone or bust.

Man we ain’t getting Stone. How much more you need to see before it is obvious that the staff is clearly out of touch with how kids are moving this recruiting cycle?
