I noticed this too. Struggles with progressions and his footwork breaks down badly when under duress. If our DL wins their battles Cuse is in trouble.

Lashlee's run scheme at SMU is vastly different than that weak *** inside zone he ran repeatedly here. SMU's run game involves a lot of misdirection, false pulls, and other movement that requires the LBs and safeties to be disciplined - something our LBs and safeties haven't done all year.

If our interior guys can re-establish the LOS (Jakari Clark is their center lol), then all of that window dressing is meaningless.

Exactly what @Damiencane86 just said. As long as we play physical and dominate the line of scrimmage that negates all the excess they've been seeing success with. Only concern I have would be on outside runs,sweeps etc because our ends constantly lose containment and our lbs are slow as **** laterally.

Yea just let them rush and have the DE responsible for his leverage on the outside. The stunts have to stop especially with our guys being a big DL. You basically asking a lot of those big mofos to run which isn’t their strength. Their strength is rag dolling let them rag doll.

They allow a HALF YARD more than they gain on the season vs. their FBS opponents…And even worse than that in conference. Very seldom does that somehow translate to 8-3. And that's not exactly a murderer's row of opponents they've played as besides not playing us yet, they missed Louisville, SMU and Clemson in conference. The UNLV win was pretty phony as ypplay was lopsided in that game. And the VT win came with Drones and others out.

What's weird is their losses often were misleading finals too, it's like the better team hasn't won about 5-6 Cuse games this year.

They have a good, top 25 O at worst and I wouldn't argue if someone wanted to say they are in the top 20 (kinda one dimensional as the rush stats aren't good). Their defense makes ours look like Ohio State

2 of the main sets of power ratings out there…SP+ have them 53rd, and Brian Fremeau has them 56th. Defense bad, special teams bad as well. Nice offense though for sure when McCord isn't throwing to the wrong team (See Pitt game for bad McCord)
