This feels like one of those ABH recruits... Anywhere but here....

LSU's class is falling apart.. the perfect time for a team like Miami, who was always in the running and even favored and has a cousin and a potentially second cousin on our roster, to swoop in and secure his commitment.

the buzz for Pickett to Miami should be at an all time high right now for us.... but instead we get last minute UGA visits (who basically had zero smoke until last weekend) and Oregon again....

ABH..

OK so tell me how 50,000 fans get in and out of this stadium without it taking 6 hours. Do you know what that area is like with traffic. I drive in it 3 times a week. It's not fun.

Traffic will suck anywhere in Miami. Good news is that is right on the metro line. And games are on Saturdays so a little bit lighter traffic since not having to deal with people driving to work (I assume you are driving 3 times a week during the workweek). Metro makes it a lot more convenient than the Orange Bowl was. Felt like I had to park in Hialeah and then walk 2 hours to get to the OB.

It's not a problem year round. I think people could deal with gridlock on a saturday 6 times a year. It's probably too late already, but I mean it's hard to find a better location than Sunset Place. It is a big enough lot for a small stadium, it was going to get torn down anyways so the land was going to be available, students could walk there from campus in a matter of minutes, is right on the metro line, could have a big parking area away from the stadium at a metro station, then have increased metro service before and after games to shuttle people there.

I used to go baseball games at Nationals Park in DC. 41k seat capacity. Same issue there, middle of the city. Traffic is a nightmare. No one parked at the stadium, first because it wasn't convenient and second because if you parked near the stadium in the surround neighborhood, there is a good chance your car would be up on blocks with the wheels missing when you got back. Everyone just took the metro and I rarely heard any complaints about the stadium location being terrible.

Kid seems infatuated with Raymond’s track record even though Raymond’s washed

See em in the portal in a year or 2 and let’s try again

Legacy family
Position of need
cousins play here
the program is winning 11 games at least this year
the best recruiting HC in the country
great NIL program

If Pickett doesn't choose Miami, then ****, IDK what to think about recruiting anymore.
The days of being a man and giving someone your word, sticking to that word, and not stringing people along are long gone…it’s all about the $$$. I guarantee you that if we pay the kid(read dad) more than LsU, he comes here. Bottom line…

To be fair, college coaches have lied, misled, and gone back on their word numerous times when recruiting kids over the years. I can’t blame the kids too much for playing the same game that grown men play with them.

For sure…but just because one man acts that way, doesn’t meanI would out I would let my kid act that way. At 18 he’s a man and he’s going to act like it. Stringing people along is not a trait to be proud of…

DJ knows that Brian Kelly, and therefore Raymond, won't be at LSU more than one more season.

Don't be dumb DJ. Come to Miami where you KNOW Mario will be for your whole career.
