Bethel is the type of kid we would go after when Golden was here because all the top targets ****ed us. That’s why we’re stuck with kids like Redwine, Knowles, etc.

He would probably be a CBdie to size and speed. He is afar more talented than the two you mentioned with Golden- especially Knowles. Both have no where near the speed Bethel has.

Take Asante Samuel Jr over Bethel

Speed is very good as he ran in only one track meet that being as a 10th grader and posted an 11.39--100m (Lou Bing Classic)..........probably in the upper 10s by now.

I'm very glad to be stuck with Redwine.

Redwine got more comfortable at safety from midseason on...BUT I think we can do better than him as a UM starting safety.

He's adequate though, better safety than he was corner. Doesn't thump, that's for sure, but did a good job of solid tackling when wasn't outran, and made some plays in pass defense.

No...The point of my post was in reply to Mr Dynasty inferring that Miami is making a bad decision by not being interested in someone that Kirby Smart wants. I'm pretty much saying that just because Smart has coached championship winning DEFENSES, doesn't mean he is a step above the rest when it comes to evaluating DB's, so using an UGA offer as a reason to say he is good enough for a Miami offer over current targets/commits doesn't hold any merit.

I can't dispute this because I don't know how they do things at Bama. But from what I understood, Smart has been a DB guy his whole career and was initially brought in to coach DB's. You would assume he knows his stuff when it comes to DB evaluating but he hasn't done anything special if you ask me. They got 4 and 5* CB's that played in a run first conference.
