Randy and Golden had to worry about the WHOLE team, not one position group. Albeit they fckn sucked, MF Panda has one job. MF can't even do that and we about to lose JOBE.

Manny Diaz, Mike Rumph, and Ephraim Banda will fly up to Connecticut on Thursday to meet with Miami commit Josh Jobe prior to his Alabama visit this weekend.

This is the second time that Miami coaches have seen Jobe in the last week. Coach Banda spent nearly the entire day with Jobe last Friday. Mark Richt has still not used his in-home visit with Jobe, which I am told is because UM would like to get the very last crack at recruiting him if possible.

Jobe has indicated to Miami that there is a chance he even waits until February to sign between Bama and UM, which would make Richt’s in-home even more valuable.

I read this as Jobe being unwilling/unable to look Miami’s coaches in the eye and tell them he’s going to Bama. It’s a cowardly way of stringing them on just a little bit longer until he can get to Alabama this weekend, get him some white girl strange, collect some dough and find out how the drop system works, and get his ultimatums from Saban. I could be wrong, maybe he just wants to have his fun at Bama and then crawl back into bed with Miami, wreeking of booze and cigarettes and covered in glitter and crabs... But I don’t see it. There’s no way he visits Bama this weekend and doesn’t sign with them on the 20th.

That sentence right there just took my level of hope for getting Jobe from a weak 5% down to about 0.01%.

Again, can't fault the staff on this situation at all once Jobe signs with Bama. They put Miami back in national relevance and kept recruiting him.

The visit doesn't mean **** to me quite honestly. Outside of Jobe telling the staff that he's going on his OV to Bama and he's signing with them on the 20th, I won't believe a word he says. Him dragging this thing out until February is a play to get more attention. It also sets the staff up for failure if they have any other guys contingent on Jobe dipping like Asante. I've always maintained that Asante should be taken over Jobe, even though they likely wouldn't play the same position in college. Only way I'm taking Jobe at this point is if he signs on the 20th - if not, then move on.

Get me TC and Asante then I'm fine. As others mentioned, if we get Surtain too, then I'm more than good.

Recruiting ain’t for the weak, I dont agree with none of jobe antics but calling him dumb or whatever some of you do on this board is overboard and makes us canes fans look bad period. Just chill.

And for the record Reuben Foster who ultimately signed with Bama was arguably the best linebacker to come out of college in the last 5 years. you know how many times he flipped back and forth from auburn to Bama? He even had a auburn tattoo and still went to Bama
. You think Saban will go through that recruitment to get a player like Reuben foster again? You **** right he would , everytime...

Bama fans go to Twitter after a loss and call their QB an incompetent N-Bomb. They seem to do just fine in recruiting.

Foster's situation isn't the same as Jobe. Jobe's not flip flopping, he's been all Bama since April (which I've called since the Spring). His actions speak loud and he's done nothing of significance to show he's signing with Miami.

The first part of me in this last stretch run was when all of the commits were going to be here on the 15th and he decided to head over to Bama this weekend. He also doesn't have an OV scheduled for Miami. It's the golden rule of recruiting - if they haven't OV'd, you don't have a chance.
