How much jet fuel are we going to waste on this fool?
It's astounding how many of you hardasses think just bailing on a kid who's conflicted is the way to go. Your heads would spin if you how many former Canes, including greats and Hall of fame types had to be last-second, begged, cajoled, guilted, hard-pressed, and otherwise just needed the kitchen sink thrown at to ultimately sign with UM. That's f-n recruiting. That's why if you have a chance to hold on to a talent like Jobe, you spend the god **** jet fuel. It's actually really laughable, because you same tough guys who want to bail on a kid who we have to really work for and isn't a lock, also in the same breath **** and moan about losing out on the top talent and not recruiting them hard enough.
I love how 49 of you morons up-voted this. I'm sorry, but some of you just can't emotionally handle recruiting. Don't know why you bother following it.
He isn’t conflicted. He’s playing Miami.
This. Tweed said a while back that he didn't see Jobe signing with Miami (who's nephew is the ambassador of the class). Some of us saw his constant flirtation with Bama back in the Spring and saw the tea leaves early on. The constant that we heard from Pete and others is that we had to do two things:
1) Have a good winning season showing Miami is making progress
2) Keep recruiting him
Miami's lived up to both, yet this kid's ready to flip at any moment (Pete reported that his decommitment could come last week and that he has been ignoring coaches from Miami when they attempted to reach him). Jobe was never going to come to Miami. He didn't see Miami having the season they had along with the improvement shown. If we had an 8-win season, he had a ready made excuse - Miami's crap. But we were the nationally relevant team that everyone talked about. He didn't have the same built-in excuse like the Ridley's, the Cook's, the Jeudy's, etc.. He's leaving the home team when we're on the rise.
People can come out on their soap box and act like they're hard. This has nothing to do with whining about a certain recruit - it's about taking off the homer glasses and paying attention to the actions and developments of what's going on.

I would not want them to stop recruiting him having said that I just can't see how they could believe anything he says.
I mean just how many times has he said he shut it down while obviously still talking to bama. I can't see how you could hold the spot for him.
Rock & a hard place. Hopefully for our sake if Jobe's selling out, he does it ASAP. Would hate to miss on an elite prospect due to a big "look at me" drawn out soap opera..
Rick would be flat retarded if he believes anything this guy tells UM. Go ahead and keep recruiting him, but don’t hold a spot. Make a spot for him if he decides to grace us with his presence.
But if you turn away a guy like Samuel while you’re sitting there hoping a cuck doesn’t slime you, then you’re a bozo simp.

Yea he very well could be "playing" UM, but that's for the coaches to decide. And as long as they think there's a shot, even a slim one at this point, they need to do their due diligence. And don't tell me that YOU, and the rest of the hard-*** bunch wouldn't lose their **** if staff just quit on every kid with a wandering eye. Sorry you feel jilted, but again, welcome to recruiting.
And man the short memories on you some of you guys.. you forget about all the dudes who actually, publicly flipped and then we got back. You have to f-n try. Sorry about your feelings. You're not dating these kids. You're trying to watch them play for the Canes.

Right, and we should assume for a minute maybe Rick is retarded as he's only been doing this recruiting thing, and doing it **** well, longer than some of you message board Svengalis have been alive.
crazy how he was our first commit BY FAR
committed to a sh*tty staff, sh*tty team quite frankly, watched us get beat by 58 to Clemson and stayed
then we become a legitimate program with a legit coaching staff and all the hype in the world and he bails, lol

Sorry, I've offended you with questioning the maturity of a kid that's about to be 20 years old (still in HS) as well as the adults present in his life. I never said for the staff to stop recruiting him, I just know that they're not going to be able to hold onto him because he's playing them.
As far as guys that we've flipped back....the recent ones that I remember are Ahmmon Richards, Zach McCloud and Mike Harley (who's recruitment was a circus and received criticism) for it.
You also strike me as the typical cuck that wishes these South Florida guys that spurn the local school for other schools like Bama, UF, Ohio St., etc. and throws out the typical PC response of "Good luck bro, put on for the 305 and rep us well up there!" or that these kids should be able to enjoy their recruitments, regardless of the circus that ensues with it.

This is what I hate about some posters. They go with the fact that the staff can do no wrong and posters don't know anything. They don't accept that there are people out there with the sole purpose of trolling a staff.
Remember Jordan Scarlett? People saw him ready to flip to UF and Scarlett convinced the staff to drop some of the other RB commits where it'd just be him and Walton in the class. What happened? The day before NSD, Scarlett flipped to UF despite Golden dropping Cronkite and Dexter Williams (went to Notre Dame).
Jobe's been flaky throughout this whole process. Taking anything he has to say at face value is indeed foolish.

No one said this kid had even a room temperature IQ.
Elite private school in Miami. Elite prep school in CT. 20 year old man. Still might not qualify.
You cannot convince me that Columbus or Cheshire don't offer decent educations or this kid was deprived in any way. Sometimes the stupid is just too strong. This kid will fail out of any school he enrolls at.

Nice assumption, but no. Once a local kids spurns UM, he's dead to me. Yea he's 20.. he's a f-n kid. And thank god the coaches aren't emotional lightweights like some of you dudes or we'd just ghost half the top recruits out there. Again, the hypocrisy is maddening. You are the same bunch who cry and **** and moan if it's perceived coaches aren't on top of the best local recruits hard enough, but want to pull the plug if any of them play games. Some of you just like to f-n complain, or inexplicably expect every recruit to go the way of dudes like Bandy or Lingard. Yea that would be nice. That isn't real life. Stick to dynasty mode in EA NCAA if that's all you can handle.

You're talking about Golden. You're. Talking. About. Golden.
We're batting like .500 on JJs.
JaQuan Johnson and Joe Jackson to the good guys.
Jerry Jeudy and Josh Jobe to the hillbillies.
Jobe's dead to me and should be dead to the city if he goes to Bama.

They aren't. See the latest Work by Pete. Believe it or not, sometimes the staff actually knows what they're doing better than the message board consensus as it's their f-n job.
I think he would be the best DB in the class and top 3 player overall. That’s nothing about Columbus bias. Go ask anybody who saw him play down here and he was always the best player on the field
Respectfully......was the fraud traitor #26 Jobe better than Wiggins #7 when he was spinning him all over the field like a b*tch?

Sometimes the stupid is just too strong. Stupid is as stupid does.
This kid will fail out of any school he enrolls at. Not the University of Alabama. Anyone who thinks he'll even have to go to class there is naive.
