How much jet fuel are we going to waste on this fool?

It's astounding how many of you hardasses think just bailing on a kid who's conflicted is the way to go. Your heads would spin if you how many former Canes, including greats and Hall of fame types had to be last-second, begged, cajoled, guilted, hard-pressed, and otherwise just needed the kitchen sink thrown at to ultimately sign with UM. That's f-n recruiting. That's why if you have a chance to hold on to a talent like Jobe, you spend the god **** jet fuel. It's actually really laughable, because you same tough guys who want to bail on a kid who we have to really work for and isn't a lock, also in the same breath **** and moan about losing out on the top talent and not recruiting them hard enough.

I love how 49 of you morons up-voted this. I'm sorry, but some of you just can't emotionally handle recruiting. Don't know why you bother following it.

He isn’t conflicted. He’s playing Miami.

This. Tweed said a while back that he didn't see Jobe signing with Miami (who's nephew is the ambassador of the class). Some of us saw his constant flirtation with Bama back in the Spring and saw the tea leaves early on. The constant that we heard from Pete and others is that we had to do two things:

1) Have a good winning season showing Miami is making progress
2) Keep recruiting him

Miami's lived up to both, yet this kid's ready to flip at any moment (Pete reported that his decommitment could come last week and that he has been ignoring coaches from Miami when they attempted to reach him). Jobe was never going to come to Miami. He didn't see Miami having the season they had along with the improvement shown. If we had an 8-win season, he had a ready made excuse - Miami's crap. But we were the nationally relevant team that everyone talked about. He didn't have the same built-in excuse like the Ridley's, the Cook's, the Jeudy's, etc.. He's leaving the home team when we're on the rise.

People can come out on their soap box and act like they're hard. This has nothing to do with whining about a certain recruit - it's about taking off the homer glasses and paying attention to the actions and developments of what's going on.

Regardless, this is a win-win for Miami, in my opinion. You put the full court press on all of them — Jobe, Surtain, Samuel, and Campbell. If Jobe flips next week, you continue pushing for the other three. If Jobe reaffirms, it allows the coaches to zero in on whoever else they want.

A Jobe flip might encourage one of the other three to commit.

He isn't conflicted (he will sign with Alabama), but I don't think he's playing UM. He just doesn't want to tell the UM coaches that he isn't coming.

Will he take his OV to UM after he signs with Alabama?

Then his pops needs to jump his *** and explain what the word respect means.

I haven't watched his highlight film nor have I seen him play so I have to ask, with all his BS and game playing is he that good of a player that you ignore it and put up with it?

He would be the best of the current commits in my opinion.
i dont think you know how to evaluate talent then. dudes maybe top 7 in this class and thats a big MAYBE. But hey the rest of the dudes didnt go to columbus so how good could they be compared to a 20 year old

You don't see Bama chasing after many prospects like they're going after Jobe. So I don't think you know how to evaluate talent.

LOL at the clowns on here and their Alabaga worship. They sign plenty of guys who bust. They just buy so many 5 stars that you starry eyed Sabag puppets can’t see it because you’re brainwashed.

P. S. They chased Gurv first. He **** in their mouths so they moved down the list.

Its because they said early Hall doesnt play those game$$$$$.............apparently we cant say the same for Jobe. The kid is gone but I do understand trying to change his mind

If taking Asante isn't contingent on jobe then OK but appeasing his flakiness isn't worth missing on both.

Every school in the country signs guys who bust. If they can buy anyone in the country why'd they go to Jobe? Because he is elite, but you guys use this coping mechanism when someone doesn't choose Miami.

Hall, Ivey, Gil and Blades are all studs. That doesn't mean Jobe ain't either. But cope away.

****...even better than Lingard, Pope, Brevin Jordan...? That's some high praise...I'm just hoping CMR can work some magic in the end and keep him committed!
He’s not close to a better football player than any of those guys. He might be one of the best prospects from a physical standpoint, but he’s nowhere near the player those and a few other commits are.

I agree. The argument that makes sense is the point that Miami wouldn't want to give the impression that you just bail on recruiting battles with the big bag schools. Instead the argument most are making is that Jobe is simply too good to give up on despite the diva games BS, and that's simply a mis-evaluation - one of many every year from Ariz and the other recruiting gurus who are all aspiring journalists and not talent evaluators.

Jobe is far from an elite prospect or a sure thing. He's a developmental corner with good physical traits. Fortunately for him Miami & Bama happen to be 2 of the best schools for coaching technique in DBs, but I always question the mental makeup of kids that go through the process like this. FSU has a team chock full of them and we saw what that did for them this year. I want kids that are selfless who care about the program.

Rock & a hard place. Hopefully for our sake if Jobe's selling out, he does it ASAP. Would hate to miss on an elite prospect due to a big "look at me" drawn out soap opera..

Why do I keep reading that Jobe is a corner? hes a safety and if u look at the film the intangibles at safety with his explosiveness is his money spot. I keep seeing corner but heck no I wouldnt put him at corner.

U still go after Samuel regardless and take his commitment regardless if we get Jobe (which I doubt) or dont.

We are in lock-step on this. Go ahead and keep playing the game with Jobe. I don’t care either way because I don’t trust weasels like this to develop.

But, under no circumstances, should we slow-play an elite football player like Samuel in the hope that Kaindoh’s Kuck won’t slink off to TooKKKaloo like the slimy cuck he is.

Rick would be flat retarded if he believes anything this guy tells UM. Go ahead and keep recruiting him, but don’t hold a spot. Make a spot for him if he decides to grace us with his presence.

But if you turn away a guy like Samuel while you’re sitting there hoping a cuck doesn’t slime you, then you’re a bozo simp.

Well said, luckily we have a proven recruiter at the helm.

My issue is that Samuel wouldn't care that we are still recruiting Jobe for PR reasons and take it as a slight at him & tell us to get ****ed because we were still chasing our tail with the KKK. Im sure it will work it's way out.

Pete would we take a commitment from Samuel even without Jobe's commitment or is this an either or kind of thing with the two.

Reason I ask with him not coming until January( at least that's what is said doubt saban allows it)Asante isn't going to wait to be strung along.

Got a feeling we will lose AS if we sit and wait for this kid no matter how good he is and lose out on Jobe too.

This might be one of those " a bird in the hand( Samuel) is worth more than one in the bush( Jobe) Paraphrasing.

Two in the bush
