We need to cash in on coach Diaz’ success this year. Who would not want to play in that aggressive D. Lineman allowed to stunt, CB’s can play man to man blitz etc. Safety are free to roam and bust ****. LB’s have new Stryker addition. Let’s sell this story bc it has easy proof to point to.

South Florida divas would rather be wined and dined by SEC schools. Any attacking style defensive player should be knocking at our door, not the other way around. And yet it is not happening. Can't win for losing as a Miami fan these days.

hard to want to play for an attacking D that is attached to a sinking ship like the richt O.

Need to close we have some good studs that we hve a legit chance to close with..

DT is maybe lacking but next cycle we should be able to offer a great depth chart crooting pitch

Not trying to turn this into a Leach (bashing) thread. But this is why I laugh when people say Leach would have every recruit in South Florida knocking down doors to play in his scheme. Diaz runs an aggressive scheme that plays perfectly to the talent we have around us geographically, but we still have our challenges in recruiting on the defensive side of the ball.

Man we offered a great dt depth chart last cycle. A;d this cycle. By next cycle, it’ll just be o;e more gaping hole on the rooster.

Seriously. It's an annual theme on CiS in regards to striking out on a position - "Next year the class is loaded at X position. Not worried about missing out on Y player."

Let's be honest. These big times recruits are planning their NFL futures. Yes they want to win at the College level. But playing in the league is probably more important to them. Why not go play somewhere that continues to develop NFL talent? Miami is still 4 or 5 in number of NFL players.

You might need to get a new team if your this tired of it lol

Don’t subject yourself to the torment if you expect it

Sure man. Sure.

Won't ever find a new team. I graduated from UCF and a lot of my friends whom are UCF fans ask why I don't jump on the bandwagon. Because I've been cheering on Miami since I was 5. Can't just switch like that. Plus, I'm a *********.

Offensive recruiting this year might end up being a failure overall. We'll win a few battles but we needed to hit on the OL bad.

We need to hit on D recruiting in a bad way. We were special this year. More talent is needed especially on the DL. At DT Nesta is our most talented player but to ask him to be ready to perform like an All American isn't fair. The DEgroup needs JJ back but if he does leave adding depth like Bogle and the NY kid is vital.

At LB Brooks is solid but the position switch will take time. We can't lose Huff. We need our current starters to come back for their senior years badly.

At DB we are young and talented. As long as we keep most of our vets up front I don't think there will be much drop off in the Secondary. We must close on Stevenson. Adding him to our current group of recruits will give us a potential program changer. I think Smith is the goods as well. If we can add one more additional impact DB than I'd say we recruited well.

Even with that said missing on T. Davis is a problem. We need to start signing at least one impact DT every year. Finishing 7-5 has to stop. FSU and UF are killing us still. We had our opportunity to take over as the dominant team in the State and we failed. We have to win to change the narrative especially with the in state kids. We have to get on the OOS kids more often because they seem to be more loyal to us.

Diaz and the whole defensive staff are average recruiters. They don’t stand a chance against big names.

I understand your point but i think Leach could get away with it because he's already a popular figure with a crazy personality that I think kids would gravitate to. If Manny didnt coach at UM I dont think most south Florida kids would even know who he was not the case with Leach.
