Great use of the word stabling force during this Christmas season. Obviously when recruiting, he will tell an unwanted recruit there is no room in the inn.King was all class in what was clearly a strange time in our programs history. Injuries and such. Always was a class act. A stabling force for us
Pretty sure the insiders can speak more on it but D'Eriq wasn't ready to go against Bama after his ACL and then he hurt his shoulder again, but got thrown back in thereWhat were the details behind that?
Good for him and good for Lashlee for giving him a chance, was an analyst for SMU previously
Yeah the English language is notGreat use of the word stabling force during this Christmas season. Obviously when recruiting, he will tell an unwanted recruit there is no room in the inn.
Diaz going to be triggered - Mario interviews on the recruiting class still talking about how there was a lax of talent when they got hereI expect nothing less than the warmest of welcomes from SMU fans when we roll into Dallas in 2025 as Lashlee has realllllly incorporated a tonnnn of elements of his brief stay here into his head coaching tenure there.
He seemed like a good dude (and King definitely was) so I wish them the absolute best....unless it affects us in any way.
All we need now is for Alfred James Golden Jr. to get another ACC head corching job to complete the conference gauntlet of possibly facing Lashlee then Diaz the Golden in the same season.
I don't think anyone bashed him during his time here. Well, when TVD took over the offense opened up. Everyone still loved and respected King.Anyone who bashed King during his 2 years here needs a swift kick in the nuts
He checks the single most important (really the only) box of all:Transferring to Miami to play for Lashlee might have been the smartest move King made.
I still remember him calling plays during the spring game when he was coming off surgery. I'm happy for him and I'm glad to see his coaching career taking off. Maybe one day we can have him calling a no-huddle offense at Miami.
That's not true at all.I don't think anyone bashed him during his time here. Well, when TVD took over the offense opened up. Everyone still loved and respected King.
He fits what Lashlee wants to do on offense perfectly. Preston Stone had a really good year throwing the ball last year but he’s not the dynamic run threat. We saw what a quarterback with those skills can do for an offense in 2020. We had no line and our receivers were Wiggins, Pope and Mike Harley. We still scored 34 points per game. King really carried our team.Personally, I think he's the perfect coach for Jennings. He'll get the most out of him since their games are so similar.
The announcers talked about how Lashlee found Jennings. He was at a HS game to watch another recruit and was really impressed by what he saw in Jennings. The rest is history.
I disagree. He was perhaps riddled by a few, but he was not much aligned. If anything he gave us hope when he was healthy. That's not true at all.
He was much maligned on the board.
Are you trying to tell me that no one on CIS bashed King when he was qb here?I don't think anyone bashed him during his time here. Well, when TVD took over the offense opened up. Everyone still loved and respected King.
