Deon Bush

No one loves suggesting redshirts more than message board posters. Bush is one of our best players. He's healthy. He just needs to get in football shape and trust that he's healthy.

Simple as this. People claimed he shouldn't play tonight and wait until GT LOL Moronic. I rather him look slow and stiff and out of shape in a 77-7 rectal exam of Savannah State then in a true meaningful game like GT. He will look better next week against USF and even better the week after against GT.

Agreed.

I think we will know alot more after next week than we do now about Deon. He will look at the film and realize he is going to get hurt playing like that against a bigger school, so he needs to either trust his body and his doctors and let go, or sit out another week or two and get right. No rush. No RS either, kids not gonna be here 4 years, much less 5.

dont discount family issues. his dad is ill, he's extremely close to his dad and this may be keeping his head out of the game a bit. i hope he gets better soon on all fronts.

Great posts about both Bush and Lewis. It was obvious that Bush wasn't ready, he wasn't close to resembling the absolute terror he was on the field last year. He needs more time to rest IMO, he is either playing tentative or he just isn't physically ready yet. It hurts this offense not having Lewis at 100%, he is a playmaker. I am hopeful theat he regains his form, it may take him another year to get back to where he was pre-injury.

Agreed. I think most people felt Bush needed to be "ready" for GT, not necessarily step on the field for the first time this season against them.

This is why you play him in a meaningless game and not against the Gators where it costs you.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't turn the corner by the GT game.

Great point, I'm sure he'll get more time against South Florida as well and should be rounding into form by the start of ACC play.
