Deon Bush

I dont think people really understand what a hernia is. Its not something you wake up and you are good to go. He literally had his guts (intestines) squeeze into his groin or ******* area. Not comfortable at all. It takes time, though he may be cleared there is still a discomfort that you have to deal with and soreness in groin area. He will get more comfortable with it sooner or later

I saw him trying to chase down some guys tonight and the savanna state scrubs were turning the corner on him and out running him. Thats not just rust.

Normally he looks like hes shot out of a cannon out there.

LOL at redshirting him. Rusty. Might still be a little hobbled, or at least not trusting himself yet. He's our best DB. He has another scrimmage next week to get back in form. He'll be needed vs GT, and he'll be fine.

No one loves suggesting redshirts more than message board posters. Bush is one of our best players. He's healthy. He just needs to get in football shape and trust that he's healthy.

Simple as this. People claimed he shouldn't play tonight and wait until GT LOL Moronic. I rather him look slow and stiff and out of shape in a 77-7 rectal exam of Savannah State then in a true meaningful game like GT. He will look better next week against USF and even better the week after against GT.

So what is it? He magically lost his burst overnight?

Not even close to %100 health.

Or not being in game shape. His conditioning isn't even close to where it should be. Lets not forget he just started practicing full go a couple of weeks ago.

Well, it was fairly obvious he was not 100%. Did you see him make a tackle? He was struggling, and you can see he must not fully trust his body yet. I would not go as fas as writing him of for the year as we still have plenty of big games and plenty of time for him to get back to where we need him to be.

On a different note, but a SS, that Carter kid smokes people every time I see him near the ball. He looks plenty big, I wonder if he is suspect against the pass, cause I would be getting him some burn for sure!

Obviously he's not 100 percent and he still has to get in game shape but I wonder if he put on too much weight too fast because he did look slow out there. But hopefully with more playing time he will gain more confidence.

He's healthy. We saw a guy who hasn't played in a competitive football game in a very long time. Luckily, we have Savannah St and USF for him to blow some dust off as he cranks it up.

He's been in 1st gear during practice. Tonight he got to click that ***** into 2nd and fire a little smoke out of the old muffler. He'll start pushing it harder in USF so he can get ready for ACC play. Ya'll boys overreacting.

Deon definitely looked super rusty. I think that will undoubtedly get better game by game. The kid is just such an absolute stud, I have no reason to believe that he won't completely heal from his surgery and get back into tip top shape. After all it was just a hernia surgery as opposed to a broken bone healing or an actual game injury so to speak.

It breaks my heart seeing Malcolm Lewis out there, man. I love that kid so much as a friend, and also as a player. His ankle was taped three million times over and you can just tell how much of a set back that has been. He is NOWHERE near where he was as a freshman before he got hurt. The kid just wreaked of potential and I am legitimately praying for him that he gets back to where he was at and can realize his potential. I would be devastated for him if that injury did him away for his career.

For the record, I don't think it will. I'm optimistic that his freakish athletic talents are going to get him back out there and he's gonna beast. I almost wish he redshirted this year just to completely get him back to where he needs to be to unleash him next season. Whateva.

The kid had hernia surgery, which in many cases is not a fast recovery scenario. Porter had this what, 2 years ago, which added to a long term delay getting back. Glad to see him on the field though. Hope he gets back to his normal self soon. Mind over matter coming back.

I don't think anyone's arguing that he's not playing at 100%. We are arguing that he's no longer injured. He wouldn't be out there against a **** pile like SSU if he was still injured. He played like a guy who didn't trust his body being right. He looked scared and timid, but he's not injured.

I feel the same with Lewis. If he was anywhere near where he was as a freshmans he'd be our 2nd best WR right now. People forget the ability he showed as a true freshmans.

Tifwiw but a guy who said he spoke with someone in bush family said that he was in pain trying to play and bush and his family plan to talk to the coaches about it.

can someone give us an injury update from InsidetheU?
bush 's name mentioned a few hours ago!
I hope homeboy is ready to go

I would sit him until he's truly 100 percent physically and mentally. If his next game is the opener next year, so be it.
Medical red shirts come after a player's senior year.
Last thing we or he needs is another sports hernia.
Had that once and it felt like someone was crushing my balls.

our dbs havent been tested by a good passing team yet or the deep ball very much gonna be fun to see how it looks
