Deng Gak to Miami

Both programs can/will flourish under the current coaching regimes. You can be a fan of both the football and hoop programs. It's not one against the other.

I was being facetious. Sort of. Technically, we are a basketball school... for now.

I can't wait to hear JoeZ pronounce Newton's last name again in that weird/awkward way.

We've had a kid leave every year since 2011. If we can land Lance Thomas, and want him over others, we can find a way to get him on the roster.

Miami has less attrition than most schools because of the number of transfers and international players we take. On average, international players transfer less frequently. Manu Lecomte notwithstanding.

Speaking of which...11 assists 0 turnovers in his Baylor debut.

I'll take 11 assists and 0 turnovers on 4 of 13 shooting for Newton any day of the week.

Fair point but he ain't doing that against real teams

Just need Lonnie Walker and Lance Thomas to finish this class off

Marone

How many ships do we have left for next year?

One. We are set on bigs now. It was either Gak or Thomas. Now need to go after a 2 or a 3. Lonnie Walker is the priority.

Next Year will be Newton, Brown, Vasiljevic, Muhammad, Lykes, Lawrence, Izundu, Huell, Miller, Gilmore, Waardenburg, Gak, and (praying) Walker.

Walker recently cancelled his UK visit and might not reschedule while Arizona just took another very highly rated shooting guard in Brandon Randolph. This might be a Miami/Villanova/Syracuse battle but some people have noted that Walker is looking to leave home. Syracuse has not beaten Miami since the 2013-2014 season. The weather is incomparable. If Walker commits to Miami next year will be the best team Miami has ever had. Better than 1999-2000, 2012-2013, and last year's team. I think, if Walker commits, it is a national title caliber roster.

That's incredible when you put it like that. 4 star, 5 star, 4 star, 3 star, 4 star, 4 star, 3 star, 5 star, 4 star, 4 star, 4 star, 4 star, and we just landed the 5 star with our last spot. Those two 3 stars are a transfer who led his team in scoring twice and our returning starting center. Very promising future.
