This is money time for coaches and kids. If you don't understand that, how it works and why it is to their benefit to state publicly that they are "looking" EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT..... STFU! Some post's in this thread proves that most on these boards don't know anything about how the game works. I'm as big a Cane's fan as any on this board. I WOULD tell my kids to commit to The []_[], get their spot, Go Visit Schools with me, make me money, get their friends and my kids with dreams a HARD look and than come home and play for Miami. It's a game. You don't want to lose the relationships you built with other schools and coaches. You want the ability to get you money and your kid's ships, that can't get them from every school. They come to see the big fish and find kids with "potential". You must at least pretend that you are bringing them your best product. If you DON'T think Golden knows why they say the things they do, than your seriously misguided. Not every kids coach allows them to just shut it down. Do the kids need to be so public about it? In BTW case i think maybe. The MT6's and DK's were straight up garbage. They put that entire program under the bus. That bridge is not burnt. Golden is not stupid. I highly recommend some of you google more and type less.
NOT A FLAME/ and if you want to google start with AAU basketball and go from there. Do you think the explosion of 7 on 7 tournaments in the state of Florida is because everyone wants to give up their time for free? PLEASE...... Go Canes

When you guys are done blowing each other, answer the following questions:

1. Perhaps this kid is an exception to your rule above? He has no real stats, never played in a real game and has an offer fron Miami. Do you think he should be grateful for the offer? Do you think his coaching staff needs to explain to him the stuff above?

2. Then why commit? If it is a joke, then why commit so early?

Our school takes it seriously, the kids should as well. If the kids are going to do the above, they better explain that to the staff.

Really? Our school takes it seriously.... So, do you think this staff has ever offered a kid, taken his commitment and than "decommited" from the schools side because we changed our minds? Do you think we ever took a kids commitment to get him exposure, knowing full well he wasn't going to come here? Think we ever show interest just to blow smoke up a schools and coaches *** because there is someone else we want? Think we have a selfish plan? We do............... JUST LIKE EVERY HIGH SCHOOL KID, PROGRAM and COACH. DAM RIGHT WE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!

Please note you did not answer one question but here we go.

i know we have but we're allowed to. We offer the scholarship based on certain requirements such as

-improvement over the next year
-grades and graduation
-behavior
-maintaining a truthful relationship with the staff

If they live up to their end then we live up to our end. This is a mutual relationship and it requires both parties to act. We should be selfish because we need kids that fit our program.

As for the part about helping the kid out to get publicity, maybe this is true.

Sorry, the kid is REAL. He is a freak that is deserving of a UM ship. It is a good thing that we offered him for both programs. He is a kid and will do kid stuff. He's playing football and starting for possibly the best high school team in the country because he's good. The coaches tell them what the word commitment means. Sometimes kids, like adults are stupid and make stupid decisions. Only time will tell if this kid sticks, is the goods and has character.

After this season, that will no longer be an option. I would think the last month's recruiting direction and winning will slow this down. That having been said, until real changes come recruiting will get worse and h.s. and 7 on 7 coaches will have greater influence. MUCH GREATER INFLUENCE........

The issue is the POS SoFla coaches that have an issue with Golden bc he is the white northern guy they got to clean up the embarrassment of Randy's tenure, and they legitimately feel randy shouldn't have been fired.

He knows it's all about wins. If he wins nobody cares if the kids come from South Florida or South Korea.

Had Miami pulled one of your playes schollie the day of a championship celebration you'd probably say F Miami too. The man had two of his sons compete for Miami for Gods sake! Ask yourself, would you allow your son's coach determine where he goes? Then give these kids and their parent the same decision making prowess you claim for yourself. Gaytors have had some de-commit as has FSU. Its just the nature of the recruiting game for "all" schools, win many recruits and lose a few. We're getting more early commits now than in the past so see the positive. We'll never get "all" the top talent in SoFL and never did.

I just dont get why we have a 6 page thread about a kid who has not played a single down of regular season HS football. Smh. Freak athlete? Why because he is 6'5 220 and can jump? That is deserving of a UM football scholie nowadays? Lol! I was never a fan of this take because we have enough "diamond in the rough" takes in the class if you ask me.
