Dead period extended

It’s amazing the short sighted comments about this virus not effecting kids bad so why can’t they go on visits and coaches come see them. I mean because when a kid goes to a campus he doesn’t go home back to his family right? When a coach comes to see a kid thst kid doesn’t come in contact with a lot of other people right?

you can believe this is worse than the flu or not but just Bruce’s u don’t this the disease is that bad doesn’t mean it’s true and everyone should have that selfish point of view

Lol April-May is extremely ambitious bud. “Normal” won’t be until the latter part of next year.

so if 75 million Americans have gotten the vaccine by May plus all the people who have built up immunity from already having it, why would things be open and back to normal?

hopefully this country doesn’t stay masked up and locked down until they eradicate the virus. That would be silly. At some point once most have the option to protect themselves you have to move forward with life and normalcy.

You got it, bruv. Don’t even want to go down this path. You think kids should be able to go on visits right now so we clearly aren’t seeing things the same here.

@cway313 so you are wishing death on me? amazing....if that is not a lifetime ban.... it is one thing to disagree and from time to time pick at people all in fun, but wishing death....you definitely crossed the line @RVACane

I spoke the truth. mask don't work. it has been proven. if people think they work then there should be no reason NOT to have visits if everyone

Here is the study.

This study has been retracted

This is is such a bad decision in my opinion. You want kids to make a 4 year decision without being able to properly see campuses.

I would think this helps Miami with local kids but **** we are going to see a ton of transfers over the next few years from kids making bad decisions.

There's pros and cons to this.

First, kids CAN visit schools. I realize that costs money to travel, but the visits are not prohibited.

Second, it is interesting that schools can't spend money to fancy-up those visits. Historically, schools would take kids out for great food or put them up at nice hotels. This makes a big difference at craptastic state schools in rural college towns, while a kid coming to visit Miami on his own dime is going to be surrounded by beautiful Coral Gables (even if it might be pricey for a budget unofficial visit).

On the other hand, this is one of those "if you don't have to live within the rulebook, some are going to take advantage". We've already heard about these "group unofficial visits". When a bunch of kids aren't on a pre-set official visit, who knows what is really going on, and there could be some stuff happening that is problematic.

Miami hasn't had a ton of high-profile home games to set up these "unofficial visits". F$U would have been a good weekend, as it came before the Big 10 and Pac 12 started to play (and maybe before the SEC did too). Maybe the rescheduled GaTech/UNC games could work, as the weather will probably be much nicer in Miami than just about anywhere else in the country. But then again, most kids are already committed. Maybe we could fire up a highly unofficial "Canes Flipz Machine", like the Gaytors dream about doing.

plus the deadlier US version of the flu virus is coming into season so the fear mongering is only going increase. mask don't work and with any virus like this, its gonna spread no matter what we do. cases may be rising, but as expected no serious issues for 99% of the people who get it, especially under 65

fake fauci's gig is up. see, they say mask should be mandatory to prevent the spread. ok, lets by that argument from the so-called scientist. if they worked, then life should go on as normal as long as you have a mask. visits should happen with no issues if everyone is wearing a mask, right. but the scientist know mask don't work as confirmed by the recent danish study that has scientist backtracking with their demands to wear a mask because they stop the spread.

Just shut the fvck up.

You whine about taking threads about Covid to the Covid board, then you jump into non-Covid threads and turn them into Covid threads.

Just shut the fvck up with your propaganda.

Flu season runs through spring, so this is not at all a bad idea. The only problem is when recruits take visits on their own dime. I'd be willing to bet there's some shady sht going on with that.

I would be shocked if there was NOT shady ****e going on. And it's probably worse when more kids are "coincidentally" taking unofficial visits at the same time.

I bet you drink keystone light.

Wuhan Flu aside, strictly football - idk how you can read this and not take it as good news for us. The less times kids can visit out of state schools, the better

Based off our CB commits thus far I'm not sure how any news is good news.
