Would love an nfl experienced guy. Fundamentals, discipline are what we lack most so someone whose been at and achieved something at the highest level to teach all the necessary nuances + details would be my priority. Any gaps in recruiting should be filled by MC himself.

IDK, but Muschamp feels like Charlie Strong. He had some good defenses many, many years ago but floundered as a HC and has seemingly disappeared the last few years. He last coached at South Carolina in 2020 and since then has been at UGA apparently in relative obscurity.

I'd be in but I wonder whether his best days are behind him?

It doesn't matter. The defense's failure is a symptom of a larger problem not THE problem. You can bring in any hot shot DC you want, until you get smart football players that are team oriented that know fundamentals and aren't selfish, you will be better but not elite.

Would be a great hire but a long shot. He’s followed Cignetti from IUP to Elon to JMU to IU and just got a raise to $1.8 million. Guessing there were a lot of people coming after that whole IU staff (including Cig) and only Sunseri left.

Aint worth it.
Plenty of DB coaches that can get it done. DC is much more important. Need someone who has done more with less with a proven track record on the P4 level.

Do that and let them bring/hire whoever they want to. I’d scrap that entire side of the ball if it were up to me .
