Daylon Charlot is leaving Bama

If you ain't the #1 WR at Bama, you're basically a glorified FB.

Lol
Ardarius Stewart, their #2 WR last year had better numbers than our #1 WR last year. But don't let the facts get in your way.

Charlot saw the writing on the wall, he was not the first and wont be the last.

I know Dugans is aware of this, another LA WR that went to Bama that got lost in shuffle..

Uhh no, Stewart did not have better numbers than Scott (our #2 WR for comparisons sake).

1. He played 15 games to Scott's 12.
2. Still Had less TD's
3. Still Had less YPR
4. Not 1 100 yard game. Scott had 3.

So yeah, I won't let facts get in my way. Stewart had 5 more yards than Scott (and again, having played more games). So it was close when it shouldn't have been.

Lol, ok
I just looked at the numbers, that's it..but bottom line, he isn't a "glorified" full back or whatever you think he is. He had more yards than any WR we had, regardless of games and that's a fact too.

You can't just dismiss those extra games played. They're pretty significant. Dude had almost a third of his yards in the last three games, which is the difference between him and Coley and Scott, whose averages are nearly identical indicating the ball is spread more. Now compare Ridleys numbers w Stewarts. Come on ,man. He's a blocker.

I don't get the expectation that in 8 months Coach Richt and crew should be matching bamer recruit for recruit. Not all these kids pan out and they know better than anybody where they stand within their program and depth chart. Sick of every time a kid can't cut it a bamer or was a former 4*, somebody suggest picking up their outcasts. Let coach Richt build the team with local, state and national kids who want to be Canes.

Because Bama cant use him dont mean we cant. Coach is having to purge this team and get quality depth. If he can play here why not take him? Taking kids from bama is a big up graded from having to steal last minute kids from FIU. Pretty sure after this year we will have plenty of room from the kids who will transfer out . I see about 3 dbs. 2 lbs, 3 OL, 2 or more Wr, Cant count all the DE and DT who could be leaving. We have like 20 kids on this roster who dont belong

Htown has been a lost cause since Rivals... dude tries so hard to be a cynic

Lol, wow is this another adult keeping up with me "since rivals"? Didn't know I had a **** fan club. You don't know a **** thing about me my man, so don't comment on what I am or "try to be"

Any who, I think bottom line is Bama get these kids to drink the kool aid because they are winning...and their "full back" has 60+ receptions as a number two wideout. They over recruit and it all figures itself out eventually. It always does when you win.

Ok homie, just agree to disagree. I think he is more than a fullback, lol. Simple as that, you disagree..is what it is.

This kid is definitely a take, if Miami doesn't land 2/3 of Smith, Holloman, Jeudy. This is a down cycle for WR esp. in sfla. He is more talented then any other kid Miami would be after in the 2017 class.

Pros and cons. Pro go to bama maybe sit and probably win a ship. Con go somewhere else and play. Gotta know the difference. Tough to do at that age.

I can never fault a guy for going to Bama for wanting to prove themselves among the best players in college football. That is exactly what made Miami what is was back in the day. Kids wanted to prove themselves day in and day out, and it paid off on the field. Jeudy will not be in Charlot's situation in two years. Anyone who has watched Jeudy play can see that. It just didn't work out for Charlot. It happens. Would like to see him at Miami. I can only hope we can get back to the point where kids are coming to Miami because they want to play for the best, among the best, and to beat the best. I think Richt and Co. have the ability to do that.

We seemed to have been developing players while they just seem to use them up so I feel its a big difference. It is an easy road to a championship but seems like a tough road to an NFL career.

That may be true. I just think that a lot of kids that go to Bama have to mindset of "if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best". Including beating out the best players in the country for playing time. It doesn't work out for a lot of kids. But I have to respect that mindset regardless.

I can completely see the mind set of being young, athletic, and people have just given you the world for most of your life. You don't think you need someone to prepare you, just need the time till you can enter the draft. Each one of them probably feels they will start their freshman year above anybody else and then will be a first round draft pick in 3 years no matter where they go.

Just comes down to who they have advising them. If that person is smart and independant of a program. Also if they listen to that person.

Obviously, the guys like Charlot and Burgess-Becker don't have that "beat the best" competitor mindset. If they did, they wouldn't have quit after a year. Maybe they had the "front-runner" mindset and just wanted to tell everyone they play for the best team. Then, after awhile that got old and they couldn't hack the competition. So they quit.
