UGA went like 18 years without having a DB drafted in the first round.

Hey you ugly mutts, Miami has won 5 NC’s since UGA last won one. Miami has produced not only numerous first rounders, but multiple hall of famers.

Leaving UGA cost Justin Fields millions too, right? Lol

They all do this in the SEC. It’s a CFB supremacist cult. They think they’re entitled to whatever they want by any means available and the rules apply to everyone else. And only they play “big boy football.”

Lots of the southern states that have passed legislative limits on coaching salaries have, nonetheless, also figured out how to circumvent those limits via booster clubs, shoe contracts, "Coach X" TV shows on local networks, etc.

The SEC schools are not just proficient in cheating during the recruiting cycle, cheating and rule circumvention is deeply ingrained in every aspect of southern university athletics.

Alabama literally has the worst public schools in the nation. 18% of the state lives below the poverty line (45th). But, hey, I’m sure they had fun yesterday.

You don't think the University of Alabama has received an incredible ROI on Saban's salary? That school has never made a better investment.

CA and NY aren't subsidizing the south. If anything people are leaving those high tax states to live and work in states like texas, florida, georgia and the carolinas

Also, these football programs in the south are incredibly profitable which make high salary costs justifiable.

Clearly you do not understand the difference between federal income taxes and state income taxes.

CA and NY are abso-*******-lutely subsidizing Alabama and Mississippi and South Carolina and Kentucky and Arkansas.

Those southern states GET money from the government. NY, Cali, etc have to GIVE money. So yes they subsidize those states no matter what newsmax and OAn tell you

@TheOriginalCane - are you saying that state coaches are paid with federal funds? I thought a coaches salary at a public state school came out of the state budget and that money was raised by state taxes.

Could be totally wrong but since it sounds like you know your tax info, Im open to learning.
