Lower taxes, less ****** state and local government, well funded and respected law enforcement, right to work (no unions). Madison City schools are top 5% in the nation and public. In other words, it hasn’t been ruined by bad policies yet. The weather is also relatively mild. Lots of Rivers, Lakes, and lower Appalachian mountains for swimming/hiking/caving. 1.5 hours to Nashville and Birmingham and 3 to Atlanta. I miss the beach though. People here are a lot nicer than in Miami and any northern city. Please stay away.

Nasa, Boeing, Raytheon, SAIC, MDA, APC, FBI, DIA is the list you came up with to prove Alabamas merit? You do know every single one of those outside of Boeing is fully dependent on federal tax dollars paid for by states who actually create GDP and aren't awarded it.

Unions are the reason that there is a 5 day work schedule instead of 7 days. Do your homework
