2025 Davon Mitchell 5* TE from Los Alamitos, CA (‘24 Reclass Likely) [commits to OU]

Mitchell is a great talent, but I think I wanted him (BIG PAUSE) more from a momentum and national perception standpoint. This hurts, but TE is pretty far down on our list of needs moving forward.
I feel like he would have given us a shot at 300. Without him, it's hard to see how we get there from here.

The issue is, Leeds will uses the emojis, to mock people. From the middle fingers, to the laughing and disagreeing to even the 💯 to the ✅ as if all is known by Leeds.

Leeds no longer post here and thus has no way of sharing info as that is the choice. All I see is the ✅ and 💯 after certain insiders post info and then just mocking everyone else that has a different opinion whom is not an insider but Leeds feels the needs to mock them and then gets mad or when Leeds was still posting those ranting post going at people.

If you’re going to play the insider game, put your info out as an opinion rather than as a fact!!!

Everyone makes fun of Gaby or certain people want to go at Cribby but they are putting themselves out there. Not giving some emoji that many here on the board just take as a certainty that something is going to happen or makes other posters upset because they feel they are getting mocked for having an opinion.

It’s not about the miss or the hit. Everyone misses. It’s the arrogance of it all.
Don't forget about the red X rampages.

I like Pipo (arguably the best avatar on site) a lot but not sure it’s wise to target @LeedsCane. She’s legit and doing no harm to anyone. I understand some are mad but let’s take a breather.
I'm assuming it has more to do with condescending remarks prior to leaving and condescending emojis since she went mute, not being incorrect on predictions.

When you leave dozens or more facepalm and middle finger reactions you're obviously going to get **** about it later.

Edit: okay he responded but seems like I was pretty close

I think there may be some OBB issues that prevent her from actually posting here. I'm not 100% on that, but it's been raised as an issue before.

Leeds does have actionable info. Though I think we can acknowledge our staff has been a bit out of step with feeling out some of these higher profile battles, and so info shared hasn't hit at the same % as last off-season.

I don't personally have an issue with most of the emojis/reactions you've noted (I think a red X for "disagree" is pretty tame, for instance, and we should all be mature enough to handle mere disagreement), but I do see how the laughing and middle finger (especially) can come across as condescending/disrespectful. In particular when used repeatedly and without explanation. Some of us maudes have wanted that particular reaction terminated for a minute because it just tends to stir **** up.

That’s fair. Not questioning Leeds info. and if Leeds can’t post here because of OBB, then fine. Didn’t know that but convenient as well to take CIS info from insiders and use it for OBB purposes or benefit.

But whatever. It’s hard to know what info Leeds has or not. How can you really determine based on emojis. Leeds info has been questionable in the past and some has been good. It’s Par for the course as an insider.

But as I pointed out, don’t mock other posters with laughing, middle fingers emojis, etc if you don’t post. It comes across as arrogant and a ****ish move.

I can't (and won't) argue with any of this, my friend.

I will say that I know she is a friend of the program w/ solid sources. That said, the "drive by" middle fingers can certainly come across as disrespectful, especially when it's in response to a tame (but potentially incorrect, or at least perceived that way based on her info) comment.

Kid might be a 5 star but I didn’t see either Brevin, Skinner or Arroyo on film.

If ok outspent or straight beat us, I’m good and really don’t understand the complaining.

Imo this is a dline year and the results in that position group is what this class is about.
And I feel that it’s even a priority above receiver

The way I see it, if we land some savages at receiver and tight end, but miss on dline then it’s status quo.

The best friends of skill position players are trench monsters.
An elite LOS makes everyone look better. If the LOS is trash then no matter how elite the skill positions are your not gonna be able to maximize or showcase their talent

Everyone says that we have to show on the field in order to get a dude like Ellis Robinson. In my opinion, the best way to land him is to sign a ridiculous dline class.

Now I understand that Bama and uga and osu just get the best players available at all positions regardless but you have to understand that they’ve been recruiting at a high level for many years and have depth at all positions. They also have trophies and conference championships. Money alone isn’t gonna just make everyone drop everything to come here. Believe it or not those schools don’t have to outspend for everyone. Some kids will drop and even return checks if they get a green light from those schools.

They simply have an advantage that we don’t have and that’s at the kids don’t have to wait to the end of the season to see what the team did.

Definitely sucks....but we just signed riley williams
This is the attitude that keeps you middle of the pack. No top team worries about stacking, except Miami? I get the need to justify but this is played out. He got a bigger incentive. I guess the work put in by Miami's staff didn't get it done. That's it. Miami missed on a guy that was 1 on their board.
