Darian "Duce" Chestnut

No I totally agree with you. I don’t know why he’s a4 star but after watching his film he knows the game but I do think in order to be a 4 or 5 star your athleticism and physical measurements should be above average with good production. Some kids are just good high school players or g5/FCS or D2 talents.
This time a couple years ago sanguinetti was a borderline 5 star kid. he ended up at indiana. The rankings really dont mean much until the summer circuit tbh.

LCE started a thread on him previously. Just look at the film. Youll see he is more athletic than those numbers. Kid is a baller, a dog from Camden, NJ, 4*, and a Miami offer means something to these kids.
Real

UM offers mean alot to Jersey heads

exactly.

be very cautious and skeptical when it comes to reported numbers like this, especially when it's early in the kid's HS career.

for the most part, the numbers can make about as much sense as your average congressman or fundamentalist preacher. (in other words, not much)
eh, by the same token there is no basis for the 4*s. At least the numbers are objective. Its the star rankng that is more suspect, imo.

This staff recruits like they're rolling out Dorito's defense, and Dorito TRIED to recruit like he was rolling out Manny's defense. Wtf.

So what's the updated numbers, I didn't want to read through all the nonsense
His track numbers r really good. His 40 is **** but his track and 40 numbers don’t match so I’ve come to believe he is faster than his 40 bc it shows on his tape and his track numbers

Camden (NJ) High School CB Darian Chestnut says the Canes are very much in his picture.

“Definitely,” Chestnut said. “Miami’s just a great atmosphere, is also known as DB U, a top 5 DB U school, and it’s a great coaching staff and a great opportunity for me to come.”

Chestnut says he’ll visit Miami “when everything opens back up.”

He’s never visited UM before - his only visit so far is to Syracuse his junior year.

“I haven’t visited schools yet, so when everything opens back up visits will be important,” Chestnut said, adding that spring visits to Mississippi and Miami were planned before things got shut down.

Chestnut’s Cane recruiters are Mike Rumph and Jonathan Patke.

“Every day I’m in touch with them, we text, get on a call, on the phone, have a great relationship,” Chestnut said. “They’re just showing me how great Miami is, the tradition, the opportunity for me if I come there.”

Chestnut says he won’t rush a decision.

“After I take visits I can make a decision,” he says. “I’ll use all my five of my official visits and Miami will definitely be one of them.”

He stresses that “everything is still open” and that he has no leaders.

You never know if a kid was injured when he ran. Kids go to camps and run all the time with injures
