Daniel Wright commits to FSU

These kids are fûcking dumb. I'm not mad that FSU lost a recruit, but I wonder why all these kids want to go to a school where there is a possibility of not seeing the field, 4* or not. How many 5 and 4* recruits end up transferring from alabama for this reason.

If the ultimate goal is to get paid in the NFL, go to a team where you can actually make a difference and stand out.

If TY Hilton for example, ends up at Bama as a 3rd stringer, does he get drafted and have the career he has now? Does Duke Johnson?

I'm probably just mad that Bama literally does whatever the **** they want and no one seems to be able to dethrone those fûcking rednecks.

I hope little Nicky breaks his neck in the shower after celebrating the NC this year.

The front running is definitely real.

All these dudes want to post their Alabama commitment on Twitter and Instagram to make everyone envious. That's what life has become for young people--who can be the Twitter richest. The front-running game is unstoppable.

The attention seeking kills me "blessed to announce my first offer from (insert school)" STFU and just play ball. No one GAF that you think you're blessed to be offered by some god **** school you probably aren't going to go to since you're a dïck riding little Indian who will just end up at Bama, or UFag of whatever other sec school you think you need to go to because that's the trend right now.

I'm shocked I haven't seen the Polaroid trend on these kids instagrams and Twitter like the chicks do these days.

I miss real football. The football men used to play. Now it's just a bunch of women wearing designer cleats with drawings on them.

Lol now that's funny because it's true.

I don't get this common misconception that Miami did it mostly with south Florida kids? Yeah it plays an integral but kids from Tampa, Jacksonville and out of state kids have played a big impact as well. I mean look at the our early 2000 teams most of those kids who started were not from south Florida. Even on this team 3 of our top 5 players are not from south Florida

Nice post.

Too much man...south Florida people, especially Miami guys, always took extra pride in being from "the bottom". 305, 954 it didn't matter. Kids stayed home and represented in front of their friends and family. They had that pride and now they all seem to be chasing IPF's and ****** shiny things. You're a FOOTBALL players, stop acting like a Btch afraid of getting sweaty in the summer heat.

God the softness kills me! The best team that ever lived did it without IPD and in the best crappiest stadium in the world. Man the fûck up and put on that orange and green and become a god **** chief instead of an Indian..

Remember the movie amistad? "A chief can never be anything less than a chief". God **** it!

Honestly, it's time to stop hating on Bama. If we were doing the same thing, no one would complain.

Plain and simple, win on the f'ing field, and this ish stops happening. Yeah, there are lot of lil itches being front runners vs. putting in the work, but fact is this is the society that's been created. ****, 40% of our fans are front runners, who only wanna fly the flag when we're on top.

I bleed for this U, man. It hurts to see all top tier talent leave, but I also realize that the NCAA is big business, and these kids (cough, cough parents) are trying to put food on the table and they are looking at the easiest path to do so. Right now, Bama, FSU, OSU, OU and a lot of other SEC schools are that path b/c ESPN and other media outlets put them on a pedestal. NFL scouts are at these games.

Until we get our ish together...until we stop LOSING IN F'N OCTOBER, it's going to be this way. We still got a whole lotta Randy Shannon and Al Golden stench on us; 10 years worth. Had we won 10 games in the reg season, had we actually beat FSU and ND this year, I think the story line slightly changes, but we're still battling a school that's won 4 chips in 7 years and possibly now 5 in 8. It is what it is.

Who is the coach?? I guess its not cheating but they have like 6 former P5 Head Coaches or OC/DCs who do nothing but recruit. The NCAA needs to step in and limit the size of staff schools with bama money can hire.

Texas has even more money. And there are other schools.

exactly.

Richt is the only one that can stop the Bama machine. Clemson hasn't been able to do it. FSU couldn't do with two generational talents. OSU and Michigan? Na I don't think so.

It's on Miami mane. I believe it

We used to say that Miami's competitive environment bred the very best.

For the most part those were Miami kids competing. I'm just upset that Bama cherry picks who ever they want. When we were on top we were doing it mostly with south Florida kids... We never recruited the way Bama did. At least not to my knowledge.
Nope. We never have recruited as well as Bama did, but if we're ever going to be back, we better exploit our competitive advantage. And, if we do, like what we're doing at DL, we can't tell kids "we have too much talent; you'll be better off going to X school and making a name for yourself." The pitch will be exactly what Bama is doing: "come here and if you're as good as we all think you are, this place will make you better and you'll get paid more."

Bama's primary competitive advantage is resources. Our primary competitive advantage is geography. We need to be better at finding the badass athletes who are angry enough to keep growing through college. If we get enough of those guys, I'll put them up against Bama's guys. The front-running thing is real. We have to find a way to play within this new generation.

The problem isn't finding the athletes. We all know who they are. The problem is winning head-to-head recruiting battles for the elite recruits.

We're not going to win national titles with under the radar South Florida guys. It just isn't going to happen.

We'll be competitive when we're pulling in 15 guys in every class who are concensus 4/5 stars as Alabama does
The bolded is where I partly disagree. The problem is we need to be better at finding late bloomers. And, given our proximity to them, it should be the competitive advantage we exploit. We're just not going to win $/resource battles against the college giants. That is just not going to happen. So, we can fill our team with the solid guys, the late bloomers and a small handful of recruiting wins against those guys.

If what it takes is winning head to head battles against state schools with incredible boosters, then it's all over.

I remember Devin Hester's response to FSU when they told him he would sit at UM for years.
"If you don't believe I can beat those guys out why are you recruiting me"

Totally agree with this. Need the SoFla speed and aggression at all positions and we'd beat them

But isn't it the case where those under the radar kids are not really under the radar any more? With the way recruiting and the many ways its covered, isn't finding the "under the radar" guy less likely? At least thats how I understand recruiting today.

Its why I now subscribe to finding a "guru" head coach in today's landscape over a coach that requires a great deal of talent to win; a la Butch Davis. I agree we don't have the resources to go up against the state schools, and IMO considering the recruiting landscape and how much exposure there is, our biggest advantage would be to have coaches that are on their A game on Saturdays. At least thats how I see it in today's CFB landscape.

Under the radar kids are now the "middling 3 star" guy who turns the corner in growth and polish late. I think it should be noted that, while we've sucked for so long, we still have put a ton of dudes in the NFL. Perhaps not superstar guys, but NFL players are at a special enough level to produce more than what they have for us.

I'm with you on need a truly sharp offensive/defensive mind these days.
