Damon Wilson 2.0

I think the question is not should we just randomly switch one of their positions. The question is how do we improve the unit AS A WHOLE.

DE: Damon Wilson/Bryant/Lightfoot/Booker/Lowe
DT: Blay/Horton
DT: Moten/Scott/Artavius
DE: Bain/Mesidor/Blount/McConathy/Scro

DE is stacked if we add Damon Wilson. DT is kind of thin.
Blount to DT imo. Maybe add a DT in the portal but I don’t want another Cook/Marley type player, rather play the young guys

I know we’ve kind of been back and forth when it comes to UGA transfer Damon Wilson.

At first it seemed all seemed great for Ohio State. I put a RPM pick in for the Buckeyes and he was set to visit today.

yesterday, Mick and I obviously posted that some developments were happening that could thwart the visit and have the two sides going their separate ways.

It seems, as of Sunday morning, all has been worked out, and Wilson now WILL make it to Columbus today for his visit as planned.

my RPM remains on Ohio State as of now. We’ll continue to report how this visit goes.

Some of the fringe benefits these guys are demanding now border on the absurd. Like, full time driver for player and parents throughout the season, private flights for family to away games, 5* hotel accommodations for family and agent. etc. I would never go down that path if I were running a collective. This sh*t is so out of control.

I mean is he? He’s not more than a 3rd round pick based on current production
Not that it matters now, but closer to a non drafted FA now. I expect him to bounce back and I hope it's inside. I want some of these young DL to start getting meaningful reps, but I would bring in the right DE portal talent. I would bring Wilson in for a visit to evaluate him. I would do the same at DT, bring in the right talent. 1 each if they are good enough.

Dang I was hoping with there impending victory they wouldn't be going as all in one next year already. They still be ABCing got to gice them that but hope they somehow get manhandled by Freeman.

Heck, if I’m a parent or agent I’m asking for more money vs benefits. I’d rather invest the funds and control the costs.

Missouri and Ohio State have hosted the On3 Industry’s No. 1 ranked Transfer Portal pass rusher and No. 8 prospect overall in Damon Wilson.

A source that has been liking Ohio State’s position for the Georgia transfer is now saying it’s Mizzou that could have the momentum.

Between the football fit and NIL opportunities, it’s the Tigers that have put together an exciting combination.

We’ll see if Wilson makes it to the Texas campus. They’ve also been involved in regular dialogue with the Wilson camp.

Wilson’s visit just wrapped with Ohio State and Mizzou had him in Columbia prior to that.
