Wilson said Friday that Florida and Miami essentially were his co-Nos. 2 behind Oregon. But that no longer is the case. According to Wilson, Saturday’s visit has given the Gators a boost.

Richardson was like the 200th best prospect in his class. He was a fantastic athlete but a massive project as a passer. And we saw how that worked out.

Lagway was the national player of the year, a high-five star, and infinitely better as a prospect. He’s probably better today than Anthony Richardson is…today.

Lagway will be a lot more like Leak than he will like Richardson. Leak was a big time blue-chip recruit. I’m guessing he holds just about every passing record in their history. But he was small and didn’t have near the arm talent Lagway does. (Buddy threw about the prettiest spiral I’ve ever seen though).

Bottom line, to me, Lagway and Richardson won’t even wind up on the same planet. Leak…idk that was almost 20 years ago now, the game is a lot different but Lagway is going to put up video game numbers provided he stays there. Only thing that can hold that kid back is Billy, and that’s a very real possibility. He’s got everything you want in a prospect.

This ain’t Gator tears so I can say that Lagway, while not “special”, seems to have a lot of talent and potential for days.

His stats vs LSU do not necessarily reflect how well he actually played. I think he played well. Didn’t blow me away but as a true freshman it was very intriguing.

Assuming he gets better, like you said, buy the stock now. He won’t be Cam Ward but he should be in the good category with potential to be great.

They’re just backing him with $$$ they weren’t doing most of this cycle because it looked like he was a dead man; but because the freshmen and younger guys have emerged the past few games, the boosters are back (or at least some are).

There’s nothing to complain about in recruiting anymore. It’s all fair game. You want the best players? Pay them.

Having the QB of the future on the roster pays dividends. Whether or not he lives up to the hype is another story. If we had better we would have better.

they almost beat UGA and UT. If Napier gets fired this year or even next year, it's a much quicker rebuild than FSU. FSU is going to be a 4 year project at best. Norvell has decimated that roster. Napier at least tries to recruit.
