And you know they just loved it too because it showed in their effort.
Yep. And there is good pressure to do so because you know within their class they are talking about who did what. You know Robinson wants to catch some passes because of Carr and Trader. And Jones wants to make plays because of Scott and Blount. And Lightfoot and Pickett want to make plays because of Cole. And so on. We needed that level of competition and pressure within the team.

There is no freshman star upon whom UM is relying. Just a whole lot of really good players who, by next year, will be pushing for starting spots.

It won't be at Miami probably but yea he's gonna be great.
This is my concern with him as well. Mesidor's move to DT opens the door a little for Blount to play some DE in 2024, and I haven't seen anything from McConathy that would lead me to believe that Blount could not surpass him on the depth chart, but a kid like that needs to be kept happy and engaged.

I'll tell you which true freshmen have caught my eye so far this year.

TE #9 Elija Lofton
Safety #20 Zaquan Patterson
Safety #23 Dylan Day
CB #29 Romanas Frederique
DT #98 Justin Scott
DL #18 Armando Blount
LB #22 Cam Pruitt
LB #34 Adarius Hayes
RB #21 Jordan Lyle
DE #12 Marquis Lightfoot
K. #40 Abram Murray
C. #55 Nino Francavilla

I think the only true freshmen that haven't seen the field yet are:

OL Juan Minaya
DL Daylen Russell
DB Isaiah Thomas (injured)
