DAILY DEBATE: Which freshman caught your eye on Saturday?

Abram Murray.

It's great that he's getting game action and judging by his kicks vs FAMU and Balls Taint, he's got a big leg with accuracy. Without knowing why Malouf is no longer ST coach, I can only guess it had something to do with not having a backup kicker in 2023. If something happened to Borregales we'd have been screwed but we don't have that problem in 2024.
Not to mention his brilliant portrayal of Salieri

Has Lighfoot gotten any snaps?
Yes a few. One one of them he looked like he got shot out of a cannon! The QB had to get rid of the ball the second he secured the snap! Talk about jumping off the screen! Talk about flashing lol!

Do you recall timestamp? I assume FAMU only or did he play against Ball St?

For me it was this one. But they scanned the sections so quickly it was hard for me to be sure

Weird. Haven't seen him. Admittedly, haven't watched every play but I'm curious that Booker got in before Lightfoot did
Well mcconathy has gotten in before all the freshman dends nothing curious about it. Pickett is a stud but from what I’ve seen so far I’m more impressed by Blount for sure over mconnathy and even in limited snaps have seen more from Pickett and lightfoot on the edge as well

This is my concern with him as well. Mesidor's move to DT opens the door a little for Blount to play some DE in 2024, and I haven't seen anything from McConathy that would lead me to believe that Blount could not surpass him on the depth chart, but a kid like that needs to be kept happy and engaged.
I think @Juancane meant that Blount will be in the NFL by the time he is 21. Maybe I’m wrong and will be corrected, but that was how I read the comment about Blount won’t be here when he is 21.

One things for sure it seems like kids are going to feel the pressure to perform or you will be replaced the next year. Either through the portal or incoming class! that's what I'm going to love the most about the Mario Era. No more babysitting guys who come in highly ranked and expect to just be handed the keys. Mario is getting guys in who enjoy playing football. Those freshmen Saturday proved so. They were flying around like it was 100k in the stands and the game had just started.
