9-11 ... At least 7 starters + 2 depth pieces + potentially 2 opportunistic trade-ups if top talent becomes available.
Playoff-impacting gaps:
1 QB, needs to be elite
1 DT, Barrow level+
5 DBS = 2 CB (1 baller, 1 starting P4 level) + 1 Nickel (baller) + 2 S (1 baller, 1 starting P4 level)
Needed depth pieces:
1 RB - change of pace ideally ST freak
1 TE - 1 blocking only, otherwise develop from within
Opportunistic Trade-ups, but only if ballers available:
1 WR. Must be proven better than Brown, otherwise develop from within.
1 MLB1, Must be significantly better than Kiko, otherwise develop from within
On the 5 DBs: you need at least 7 starting-level DBs to be confident you can make it through a whole season. So I'm assuming 2 of OJF, Brown, Williams, Mack and Day are good enough to start next season. I don't think you can count on more being ready. You still need 5 more.... certainly no less than 4.
