DAILY DEBATE: What do you want to see against FAMU?

I want business mentality. Put them away quick and I want the young guys to play clean snaps. No busts and physical play.

I would like to get a big lead so Cam can sit half the game. Also, just one time see Mario not squander his time outs like he did against Florida.

minimal penalties

10 points or less (even with 2nd and 3rd stringers) - would love a shutout but doubtful

no turnovers from ward or 1st string players

big doses of jo jo trader, lofton, chris johonson jr, ny carr (hope we air it out and not just run it like Miami (oh) last year

Poffenberger, Emory and the freshman playing the whole game. Nobody hurt on either team. Canes win by 50. Jacolby gets some more targets. Run game gets going more

- At least 3 passing TDs
- At least 3 rushing TDs
- Borgy hits 2 40+ FGs (he has me concerned for some reason)
- No mental penalties

This is not to humiliate FAMU by any stretch; however in today's gaudy "Madden numbers" world, our Canes are going to be under incredible scrutiny week-to-week to put then up.

The machine has to keep getting fine tuned and if that means running up the score against overmatched opponents, so be it.

With that said, can't do tbe above with starters in 3Q/4Q and risk stupid injuries.

Very fine line that must be walked.
Andy got me worried to

No injuries.

Cam Ward needs to stay in as long as it takes for him to get 300-350 passing yards, and 3+ passing touchdowns. He needs these stats EVERY WEEK IOT be in the Heisman Race. Maybe even a rushing TD too.

Once Cam has his stats, he's out.

I also want key starters to stay in long enough to get their stats. I want Restrepo to get his 100+ yards and 1+ TD. I want Baron to get 2+ sacks. We need guys to be competitive for National Awards. It will help us in recruiting and end-of-season clout. Having guys in contention gets our name and brand in the media which we need.

Id like to see multiple drives with fully second and third team on the field.

Execute some more of those trick plays successfully, and then let the backups in.

I'd also like to see Emory and Poff throw some good passes. Maybe thread in some nice TD throws. Basically, that have command of the offense and can play confidently.

I want to see us take care of business as in scoring 50+ getting the starters out after HT and no significant injuries. I don't want to see penalties and mental mistakes.

I want to see exciting football in all 3 phases. I want to see the running game OL absolutely crush FAMU and force them to submit to our will. I want to see an explosive rushing attack where every RB gets in on the fun. I want to see Chris Johnson using his speed to make plays. I want to see Ajay Allen. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Jordan Lyle! I wish we could put Martinez and Fletcher in bubble wrap but honestly they all need reps.

I want to see much more of Markel Bell, Samson Okunlola, Matt McCoy and Tommy Kinsler. I want to see more Rodriguez at Center just in case. I want to see the 2nd team LT and RT. Heck I want to see the 2nd team OL dominate. I wish we could put Cooper, Rivers, Carpenter and Mauigoa in bubble wrap.

I want to see a fairly basic gameplan turn into a fireworks display because of execution and the disparity in physical talent. I want to see the young WRs all get in on the fun and be a part of this party. That means Jojo Trader, Ny Carr, Ray Ray Joseph, Robby Washington, Shemar Kirk and Chance Robinson! X and George should be in bubble wrap however, Horton and particularly Sam Brown need reps!

I want to see Elija Lofton having fun making plays and scoring from multiple positions( Pause!). I want to see Riley Williams get in on the action catching passes! I need to have a Jackson Carver sighting! You know we are going to see McCormick. They can put Arroyo in bubble wrap for all I care.

I want to see Emory Williams dominate and pick FAMU apart. I want to see Puff make some magic and I want to see Judd get meaningful action. Wish we could put Cam in bubble wrap but that's not the way this works. Kid has Heisman voters to continue to impress.

Defensively, I want to see Cole McConathy, Justin Scott, Artavious Jones, Marquis Lightfoot, Elias Rudolph, Booker Pickett Jr along with Josh Horton and more of Ahmad Moten. Put Alston, Baron, and Bain in bubble wrap. Mesidor is a veteran but he needs more reps to get into better football shape.

At LB I need to see much more of Popo Aguirre and Chase Smith in addition to Cam Pruitt, Bobby Washington and Adarius Hayes. Put Kiko and Wes in bubble wrap. Alderman still needs reps to get more comfortable in this system.

In the secondary I want to see OJ Frederique continue to get reps with the 1st team. I want to see Robert Stafford, Ryan Mack, Zaquan Patterson and Dylan Day. I need to see Jadais Richard continue to work on his fundamentals in coverage. I want to see more of Markeith Williams at FS. More Dyoni Hill and Damari Brown if healthy. Put Porter and Meesh in bubble wrap. J. Harris was awesome for the most part last week but he needs reps.

Important note for the tone deaf......
All Bubble wrap comments are strictly tongue in cheek.

I want a fast start. Coming down from last weeks high. This being Famus superbowl. A “lesser” opponent. Recipe for a slow start. I don’t think this will be North Dakota v Colorado but Famu is a good fbs team and Richardson can sling it.

Regardless of score, don’t think cam is out until after the 1st series or 2 of the 3rd. He needs 250-300 yards if he’s going to stay on pace to be a heisman finalist. Mario knows this. Ward having that kind of season (along with a playoff season) will bring more publicity than we’ve had in over 20 years.
agree, but think even longer. definitely the entire 3rd quarter.
