Signed and sealed to South Beach?

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star defensive end Cyrus Moss was the subject of an interesting rumor that popped up this week. The rumor had Moss signing with Miami in secret ahead of his Jan. 8 commitment on NBC. Moss narrowed down his list of college options to Miami, USC and Arizona State last week. But before the rumor of Moss signing with the Hurricanes made the rounds, Moss received a “re-offer” from Oregon over the weekend. If Moss had actually signed a letter of intent, Oregon would be in violation of recruiting a player signed with another school. From what we are told, that would be a major violation.

Deductive reasoning tells us that Oregon offered him a scholarship and it was made public because Moss did not sign an LOI last week. That conclusion has been backed up with sources we’ve spoken with. Oregon had been eliminated from consideration, but it appears new Ducks head coach Dan Lanning had second thoughts about letting Moss slip away. The fact that Moss did not go ahead and sign with the Trojans last Wednesday shows an underlying hesitation in his recruitment with USC as well.

Moss may decide to enroll at his school of choice and only sign financial aid agreements in January. That is to say, Oregon may be back in play for Moss and created greater indecision. Moss is planning on enrolling early, so he does have to make a decision on a school soon. The momentum USC had in his recruitment after his official visit appears to be fading, but it’s extremely unlikely he has signed anywhere yet. — Gerard Martinez

Sounds like a Miami - Oregon battle, one that I'm extremely confident we win out on if that's the case. Figured USC would be much more of a threat.

Gerard Martinez sounds like he doesn’t have a clue where he’s going, he’s just putting 2 & 2 together & getting 6.
