Emory tried.

What a resounding vote of confidence

I’m disgusted with Emory Williams play - if a portal QB was a need prior to the 2nd half - it just became THE MOST IMPORTANT need we have, far exceeding any CB or Safety.

Sadly, his performance was so bad that we’re likely to get shaken down for a couple more hundred thousand (if the agent of the QB to be has any kind of know how with negotiations).

I’d also be concerned that Dawson might bolt because he’s surely not wanting to have another TVD-esque season

I made a thread about this years ago. It got locked.
I searched your thread history from 2022 on and I don’t see a thread you started about Emory. I was going to see if I could unlock it and bump it for you.

I saw a different thread you started that was locked but it wasn’t related to Emory either.

The thread was called We Are Pitt.

No coach makes all the right calls. You're Monday morning the crap out of this.

Now go through and point out all the correct calls (things like going for 2 in the appropriate spots, calling TOs, going for 4th downs, etc) that allowed us to win games (ie: Cal, VT, L'Ville).
This reminds me of the Chris rock skit where he jokes about dads wanting credit just for being with their kids… I’m not going to give a coach paid $8m a year for making rudimentary decisions. He cost us 3 games and can’t bring in a good coordinator pair to save his life…

Every year I have to argue with someone "play the freshman, he can't be any worse" and then the freshman is worse.

lol so true. I'm like that with the linebackers but all honestly I have no clue if they're any good or worst

Ok. It wasn’t about Emory. I was looking for an Emory thread. Yes, you made a thread about us being Pitt. I don’t think it’s worth unlocking but if you want it unlocked we can ask @No_Fly_Zone who locked it because it was a nonsense bump.

I'm not inclined.

From my understanding he is more in box safety or that is what he did in high school? He doesnt look like he can play on hash or deep at all.. We need a whole Safety room still.. With defensive philosophy overhaul and coaching installation
Yeah I never saw him play up top during high school. Most of what I saw was him playing man on slot WR's or down in the box. Doesn't help that Chaminade doesn't develop anybody defensively, poor kid is way behind the 8ball, being asked to do something he's never done before.

Why you would recruit an elite box Safety and force him to play up-top is beyond me but hey, what do I know? 🤷🏻‍♂️
