I dont think this will be an issue at all. Several schools use brands other than Nike. Michigan, Louisville, Notre Dame, Auburn, Georgia Tech., Texas A&M, etc. And each school has had some sort of success in ine sport or the other despite not being a nike brand.
Money talks and despite what people say, money helps your program. There is a reason why oregon has been good. Influx of nike money. Miami wont get anywhere near that money, but the extra money can only help.
Also, my thought the whole time is that adidas will use the canes to expose their brand, which will get the canes exposed. Yes, miami has obviously been struggling, but they are still a national brand. Michigan is a national brand, but michigan is also based in tradition and im assuming they cintrol what adidas can do and how far they can take it. Miami will, much like oregon, allow them to go crazy with everything except the U. Plus the exposure for adidas in a major city cant hurt, especially one with such strong ties to latin america.
