Haven’t heard anything about jones or Horton this spring? Could he be #4?
Would hope not, would mean we have bigger issues if he is able to jump the guys ahead of him who have been here a bit longer. If he is just that good then sure, best players should see the field.Haven’t heard anything about jones or Horton this spring? Could he be #4?
Lmao stop. This dude is a grown man! Besides plenty of freshmen DTs make the 4 deep around the nation. For our sake and theirs, we need Blay/Scott + Horton/Moten to be the main 4, with Jones and Simpson getting quality 5/6 spot reps.
I said if he's good enough play him lol just don't wanna see a true freshman that isn't strong enough to hang. He'll be going up against players with years of strength & conditioning.Lmao stop. This dude is a grown man! Besides plenty of freshmen DTs make the 4 deep around the nation. No big deal
Makes sense though. Blay is the closest to a space eater we have. Those guys always make life tough on an OL.No. The 4th man in the rotation is not on the team right now. Also, I don't know about everyone else. But I am not happy when my most experienced OL in Cooper tells the media that Blay is the DT giving him the most challenges at practice.

Just hope Horton can stay healthy. He definitely flashed to me the little I ever saw him on field, immediately collapsed interior OL's with quick first steps but we saw him on such a limited basis. Need guys to step up. Definitely want +1 in the portal.I guess. I know Moten looked decent (but not great) end of last season, and I read/hear that Scott is developing well, and that Jones is starting to show ability. But it all sounds "meh" to me. It's too early. Let's see the readout from the scrimmage and Spring Game (we still having these?). But the talent and depth of talent has me worried about DT.
If we have to Portal a 4th DT, what does that tell you about our development lol. Do we really need another Marley Cook/CJ clark/Deen type of player? Also it wouldn't be CanesInsight without a fan people mad that a player is performing well in practiceNo. The 4th man in the rotation is not on the team right now. I agree with you here. I feel much better about our situation than I did last year but we still need more depth to at least insure us against injuries. Blay, Scott, Moten and Horton(his development is critical) could be a good to very good top 4. Now if we can get anything from Jones and Simpson then we are in a good place compared to last year. That top 4 has a very good ceiling in terms of potential productivity but we would need Moten to take the next step and for Horton to show he is who we thought he could be. Obviously Blay would need to have a great year and Scott would need to have a breakout type year.I guess. I've heard Jones's name come up plenty.
