couch decommits

We need to land ONE elite DB. Just one. Just give me Tyrique Stephenson. A class of Stephenson, Couch, Keontra Smith, Brownlee, Good and one other DB is a home run class.

Just one. That's all I am asking for, Rumph. Just one, dude.

Rumph isn't Stevenson's primary. He is a safety at Miami. Send your prayers Banda's way.

I agree. The only way I see the good take is if we worked him out at corner on the low and really liked what we saw. Or if we are trying to put pressure on other corners to commit fast. Because from pure tape there’s no way he’s a p5 corner. He hasn’t even been a high school corner yet.
You're not qualified to say what he is off tape. Always good to have an opinion, but I see enough of a athlete and they can mold a guy like Mike Jack they can mold him.

This. DGood definitely has a frame that reminds me of a future MJack. And if he can keep some of that 4.4 speed to boot? Yeah I'm not dropping this guy. Sky is the limit with what you can do with him with those physical traits.

Theres a difference between taking projects like Good and Bethel versus some of the “projects” that precious staffs took. The projects from the past didn’t have the physical traits and for most of us, we knew right away they would never contribute. They were basically class fillers.

With this staff we know they’ll get the proper S&C and the right coaching. It may take a few years for them to be ready but I’m really excited to see how Rumph does with them. I’d love to look back in 4/5 years and say we didn’t need TC or Surtain because we found some gems.

Dean is 6'2 runs a 4.4 an he about to get beat out by a freshman! Not all players can be coached up

True. It doesn't always work out.

But theres definitely a difference between taking a project player as a high schooler with 4-5 year to develop vs a Juco.

And while you can teach CB skills, you can't teach someone to just be a better athlete.

Some of those projects were downright 'Section 8's'

They were what they were with no real upside athletically

I sense these newer guys being brought into the program can at least contribute on special teams eventually
