Cornerback against Pittsburgh

Im all for bush playing nickel and carter getting some burn at safety...

Whats up with the Safety from California Tolson? I remember him in the spring being a big hitter looked like he was going to get some burn did they redshirt him or what?

Tyler Boyd (6'2 185 lbs- 903 yards and 7 TD's) all of this as a freshman.

Devin Street (6'4 190 lbs - 854 yards and 7 TD's)

Should be interesting.
 
It doesn't matter if Savage sucks.

How many QB's have we made look like first team All Americans lately (past 5 or more years)?

Maryland QB (O'Brien) was/is garbage.

Rocco and Sims are garbage

Tanner Price

Boone and Connett

Logan Thomas

Our defense is soo bad that every team is a threat to beat us.

3 and out on offense, 10 or more and TD on defense. SMFH

Shhhh don't tell people this. They think we have the depth of Bama. They think that the starters should line up and play all 90 snaps(Jesus 90 ******* defensive snap agianst UVA. How were they on the field so much? I kept seeing turnovers and 3-and-outs...Oh thats right...our QB was ******* putrid. No moxy in that dudes game.) and don't know jack**** roatations or the need for real depth.
 
Burns is playing giving us three starting corners in Howard, Crawford, and Burns. Personally, due to the height of Pitt's top two WR's, I'd prefer for Bush or even Rodgers to line up at corner. In a pinch, we have Jamal Carter also.

I think we will be fine and I expect a Canes Victory!

Man STFU. Nobody on this board is comparing us to ******* Bama or even FSU for that matter. We all know we're not at that level yet. But we do have the talent to beat Duke, VT, and UVA. You wanna know why we were on the field so much against UVA? Because yards don't matter! Doritos is fine with letting a team dink and dunk their way down the field against us as long as we keep them out of the endzone. That's his philosophy and the defense being on the field all game long is the result of that.

Now, as far as Pitt goes and our lack of CB depth, step up. Rodgers, Hope, maybe Bush will have to step in nickel situations. It doesn't really matter though, even when we were healthy we were giving up 500 yards to average offenses. Just get a ******* win.
 
I'm hoping Burns is healthy enough to play a majority of the game, we need his speed against Boyd. Would be nice to see us try and jam them at the LOS too, however, I'm expecting to see us giving them about a 15 yd cushion.

Pitt's NT Aarron Donald is a beast and McDermott will need help with him all day, an for some reason Kehoe/Coley often don't double the nose, but rather pull the OG, which often leads to the NT making a tackle for loss on the play. Wait a second, that guy is obviously doing something wrong. Doesn't he know that DL aren't allowed to play that aggressive and make tackles in the backfield, its all about gap discipline, he is getting some horrible coaching.

Which is what I said at the beginning of this thread. As soon as people started bemoaning the loss of Dortch, I had to set them straight. Dortch wouldn't have played anyway because they'd move Rodgers to CB before letting Dortch play. Guys are forming pre-excuses for the Pitt debacle that they're sensing.

hes actually solid there...its safety he doesnt have insticts at...dude can play cb likey better than the younger guys we have.

I agree with you here. KC didn't look bad at all last year when he played CB. It also might get J. Carter on the field a little at S which would be nice.
 
Its funny like beating a dead horse but really every post is about the defense being bad.............the rankings tell us that we do not need to hear more about it. We need real mods to leave the football people talking about football.
