Corey Holmes . interesting he runs 4.3

Kid is a legit 4.4 and he can play. In our situation, he'd be the 2nd or 3rd best WR on the roster (1. Richards 2.Mullins?) Not like we have another option. Plus he'll have something to prove, meaning he is going to go hard as **** to prove himself.

Here are the "official" times I found for him.

At the Nike Combine in Miami- March 6, 2012--

"Corey Holmes ('14), WR, St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.)"

"Holmes showed the athletic ability on Saturday that has many calling him the next big talent to come out of national power St. Thomas Aquinas. The 6-foot-1, 172-pounder carved out a consistent role last fall as a sophomore with his playmaking ability, and flashed that explosiveness with a 4.56 40 and whopping 39-inch vertical jump."

Only participated in track for one year as a 9th grader at STA---very decent times for a true freshman but not world class
60m (in) - 7.64
100m - 11.55
High Jump - 5-6

The probability of dropping from a Nike official 4.56 as a 11th grader to a "true legit" 4.3 is next to nill. The vertical of 39" at the Nike shows he does have explosive ability if he can put it to the field.

Pass. If he could not see the field at ND, it will be nothing more than a glorified walkon here.
 
I am sure Coach Richt and his staff appreciate all of the coaching and recruiting tips here. Who knew lawyers, students, garbage collectors and numismatists knew so much about football?

Or if Dugan wouldn't of fcked up we wouldn't even be looking at this option .

Dugans and Rumph are maybe the best coaches we have after Kool. Recruiting wise is another story however.

Dugans kept Bruce commitment and helped get Richards. Now this year hang worked well but I don't blame the coaching staff for the misses I'd rather blame Hollomans mom and the past staff not recruiting Jeudy early that put them in a position to trail Bama

That succeed and then are like "miami didnt recruit me" but i see why they do it. People on here talking about a kid living his dream being worthless and cant run from their kitchen to their couch. Watching his highlight tape from STA, he just doesn't ever seem like he's trying to run fast. I've seen guys who are slow, but you can usually tell they're trying to run as fast as they can and are just slow. This kid always looked like he was at 3/4 speed in his highlights. I kept waiting for him to turn it on and go, but he never really appears to at all. Really strange tape to me. I'd probably take just for numbers, if all else fails come signing day. He's a grad transfer with two years, so it doesn't really hurt much. Plus, if he isn't good he might realize he just isn't going to play and then not come back for the second year.
 
At this point Holmes is a no brainer,hope the staff doesn't fall asleep at the wheel chasing Smith and have another program take Holmes from them.

Typical fake UM fan who only cares about tailgating. This guy wants guys who don't come here to succeed elsewhere and help their team be better than UM and rub it in UM's face. Awful.
