L$U had Brady. Michigan‘s DC came from the Ravens, Harbaugh-to-Harbaugh. If money is not an issue, pull someone from the NFL. Every coach does not have to be an elite recruiter, although that would be great. Plus, Mario is supposed to be the Closer.

I guess it's a good thing that Mario specializes in recruiting.

Whoever we good after for OC/DC, I hope they are legit tacticians. Recruiting shouldn't play a part in this decision as Mario can handle that. We need coordinators who know how to make the most of the talent Mario and Zo bring in.

I'm most curious about possible DCs with Mario... he coached with a bunch of dudes at Bama like Steele, Tosh, Pruitt, Dunbar, and wonder if he would make a run at any of them as staff/analysts. Maybe he would consider a guy like Chuck Strong.
Wouldn't mind him taking Saban's approach with analysts (targeting former HCs) and going after guys like Chud or Herman as offensive analysts.
Brady, Herman, and Mullen are wet dream OC ideas but not sure they would even consider given current situations and pedigree.

Bama pays O'Brien 1.1 mill a year on a 2 year deal. I think Venables is highest paid assistant at just over 2 mill in the country

Nobody knows the budget outside of them saying they will add 20-30 million to their resources.

But yes, Mario better hit on both seeing as he's more the CEO type and can't cover one side of the ball himself. Luckily he should have a large contact list and we should be able to get Lashlee types in here if we look at the right candidates especially with our skill players on offense

Well Clemson ad is making 800k a year currently, reports are saying Miami is willing to pay 3+ million a year for a top p5 ad making whomever is hired as the highest paid AD in college history SO yea I expect big budget, proven coordinators for whoever replaces manny

This. If the product on the field is good enough it makes it a **** of a Lot easier for Mario and the position coaches to reel kids in.

Keep in mind ,you have guys like Mullen who are available, and getting paid by other schools. Say what you want about Dan, dude is a **** good offensive coach. Just get strong recruiters around him, using the money saved from UF paying him regardless of what we pay.

I'd love to see Miami go whole hog and go after someone like Kellen Moore, but Moore isn't happening, unless you pay him **** near HC money. That's not realistic.

Joe Brady is from Miami doubt he wants back to college but JFC we just hired Radovich away from Clemson so I’m all in on the fever dream scenarios

We got that Arab oil sheik money now. Keep swinging for the fences.

Brady is a big Canes fan. Lashlee was OC for two years and parlayed that into a solid HC gig. If Brady gave UM 2 years as OC, he'd get more college HC offers than he would know what to do with. If it's true he hates where he is at, then make an offer. Worst that happens is he says no and we get another elite OC.

This is why i aint crying about Cristobal. We aint getting the roster or the coaches he has at Oregon. What we need is his leadership and stern demeanor more than x's and o's
