Cook's family

Percy Harvin? Ugh...... cmon now.

Ugh what? If you watch their games its exactly like, smaller, extremely quick, has vision, very quick feet like a slot receiver, can carry the ball out of the backfield and on special teams...... you really wouldnt take a Percy Harvin on your team?

Of course I would take Percy Harvin however comparing Elder to Percy Harvin is not accurate. One was a consensus top recruit, the other not. One was all world at Florida while the other hasn't played a down of college football. Anyway.....

The other was a top basketball recruit and a 4 star recruit in football. Just because somebody is a 5 star and the other is az 4 star doesnt mean they dont play the same and also i said a Percy Harvin TYPE, just like Cook hasnt even played his senior year but you agree he's just like CJ Spiller

If Mr. Sony Michel commits to us next month anything Dalvin Cook says will not go past a one page thread from that day on I can guarantee that... I am starting to see alot of Keith Bryant in this kids recruitment. Just one big headache that I want to avoid.

I haven't seen Cook do or say anything that would suggest he's Keefing. Am I missing something or we just mad he doesn't like us? If it's the latter, than we need to man up and not kill the kid or his family. Wish him the best and if he chooses UF, make him regret it on the field.

Harvin was bigger and faster coming out of hs.... way more agility as well. Harvin was a WR..... Corn is a tailback whom..... I haven't even seen catch a pass.

WTH...

Really??? Is it really necessary to use such language? On Easter no less.

You are better than that.

We are mad because we were in 2nd after Clemson and he almost decommitted from then for us, then he continued to blow up and we stuck in 4th place. It doesn't matter to me about him if we get Sony, 3 5 star running backs is unheard of for a team yet alone one recruiting class. The rumors are from a "source/coach" (I forgot) from Miami central stated that his family shopped him around & was lookin for money to get him to transfer to Carol City.

I really am starting to believe we have the dumbest fans in sports. Signing day is almost a year away.... And because a kid isn't slobbing the **** of a 7-6 team, fck his family???? Really???? Post like this should be banned like a muthafckah. And so what if the kids parents are looking for a payday? Shiiiid, CFB is a billion dollar industry, Cook's parents shouldn't get a small piece of the pie? And please spare me the "well he's getting to go to college for free" bull****, because its just that- bull****. Wake me up when a degree guarantees these kids a fck'g job..... Don't get mad at SEC teams for doing something we are either too stupid, or too ***** to do effectively....

WHAT, you mean we can't kill him and his family? ****, that's disappointing.

I don't know much about Cook's situation personally, but I hope Big Al continues to recruit him and ultimately snags him. Sure, there may be "sources" that say his family is shopping him around, but I heard the same stuff about Deon Bush's family being on the take and I'm happy as **** that Big Al continued recruiting that kid. The same people that are quick to say we should tell a kid to kick rocks will be the same people bashing the **** out of the staff when those kids are balling elsewhere. Hopefully, Golden will stay on this kid. And if the parents ask for a handout, hopefully Golden will firmly look them in the eye, tell them that UM can't play that game, and then STILL continue to recruit the **** out of the kid until he inks elsewhere.

You'll know too many people?

Is this real life?

They weren't too worried about his brother going to Miami.

Every kid is different... IMO, the statement regarding his family saying that he knows too many people, actually means: He knows too many neighborhood thugs, which may distract his attempt to experience a college life....

This is what we have to see guys... Duke has a very strong faithful Mother who raised him in a household centered on God & values.. Tracy Howard & Deon Bush likewise were raised with a mother and a father in the home, and were taught faith, morals, respect, etc...

Now, every inner city kids isn't blessed enough to have that father figure there, to yank the slack out of him, when he see's his kid hanging with the wrong crowd!!

Not saying Cook is a thug, but the surrounding area where he was raised is a bit different from Howard & Bush's. I will say that it's safe to say Cook likely has alot of "friends" that won't be attending college, and won't understand that he'll need to study late night, rather than hang out all night...

If getting away from home, so that he can focus on school is the best thing for "HIM", then by all means do that! Kid has to do what's best for his future. I'm from the inner city, so on one hand I understand. On the other hand I would love to have him, and think if he's willing to change perspectives, he cause be with the team, and ditch his thug friends...

But then the thug friends will turn on him, then he has to deal with that when he goes home... Trust me guys it happens (the whole: Oh you don't know ya boy no more cause you're on TV?).

If he's close to home, he's probably thinking that's what he's likely yo hear. So to me, it seems his family doesn't like the company he keeps in the neighborhood, and simply wants him to leave them behind for a better future.

I get what ya'll are saying but I am tired of hanging my hat on kids like this. He has stated many times that he is really not interested. What does this kid have to do for us to get the hint that we are on the back burner in his mind? Did Matthew Thomas not teach us anything? Buddy came out after he committed to FSU and said that we technically had no shot the whole time! Lol. Now you wanna go through the same torture with Dalvin? Buddy said we are running 4th on his list at the moment! AND he is committed to another school. Do yourselves a favor and just treat him like you would treat an out of state recruits like we did the Reuben Fosters and Dee Liners of the world.

cook can be a monster at cornerback too... you continue to recruit sony and cook hard regardless who commits and regardless what he says about UF or Clemson

Is that mostly speculation or do you know Cook's situation personally?

Before I started my rant I typed IMO = In My Opinion. Based on my interpretation of his family's request that he leave Miami.
