Dmoney is right close thread
smh do you remember how big Gore and Portis were coming out of HS? You act like those two were 6' 200lbs when both were about 5'10 185 putting them right there with Yearby. I guess you think Duke is overachieving too then. Man I really don't have time for this but I'm going to make a list off "all" the top players Butch missed out on from sfl his first three years here that ran to Tally/UF/etc in relation to the guys he got, because people on this site have amnesia for some reason. If you trust the head mans ability to evaluate and develope the talent, than there is no drastic losses when it comes to sfl talent except at the QB position.
How hard did we recruit Collins and Sony? Who does Cook say is recruiting him the hardest? I do trust the head man's ability to evaluate and develop talent. But there is a reason he wanted those guys so bad. We didn't even offer Powell until Cook and Sony were committed elsewhere.
And I saw Gore in high school and Portis as a true freshman on Greentree. I don't think Yearby has as much growth potential as they did, and I am **** sure that Yearby isn't as explosive as those guys.
BTW-- McGahee was a five-star on Rivals (Sam Maldonado was #1) and Gore was a four-star. If I remember correctly, they were ranked third and tenth in the country. The rankings aren't what I'm talking about, though. ****, Yearby was a five star for a while. I'm talking about losing future NFL backs that we recruited like crazy.
