UCONN under their new AD intentionally went indy. they didnt want to have to spend a min amount in football that certain conferences require when they knew they would never be good. they decided to focus on hoops instead when they rejoined the BIG East

The moment Texas and OU jumped to the SEC, the ACC needed to throw all its weight behind adding Oregon, Washington, and a few others to remain viable and renegotiate their TV deal. However, because it somehow manages to be both little brother AND the fat, lazy heir of privilege, it has no vision or ambition. The conference does not care about anything outside of the basketball arenas in Durham and Chapel Hill, and soon that’s all it will be left holding.
