MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

So.........basically improve this. Immediately. Like @Empirical Cane said.

I think all are in agreement. As of today not impressive, but the Canes can and will improve in the coming years (fingers crossed).
Heck ... total network games in 2024 Miami was #1 in total viewership in the ACC with 10 games and total of 27 million viewers. 2025 will be excellent ... beginning with ND on 8/31 ... and two weeks later vs UF. Win those games and the conference games will all be network games and we will get the numbers.

But how much did they spend to get here? We spent $0
There is quite a bit of speculation on the Warchant Realignment Thread (the one started by Regal 2+ years ago) that FSU is working behind the scenes to get out well in advance of 2030 ... potentially as soon as the 2026 season ... and views the $200M exit fee as what they were looking for ... and have it covered.

They might be better off putting that into a new coach. Keeping the current one is only going to hurt viewership. Combining low viewership with the fact that they came off as annoying might make conferences hesitant.

They are going to finance it through a third party fund. At least that’s what they think.
There are multiple comments regarding the source ... and one guy close to the program insists it is covered by a group of boosters who view remaining for 6 more seasons as too detrimental to program growth and recruiting to delay.

So basically a reverse mortgage on Doak Campbell Stadium.

I like the idea of giving a bigger slice to the teams with the best ratings but numbers can get skewed. Georgia Tech was one of the top ACC teams in terms of viewership based pretty much solely on the fact that they played against FSU in week zero when there was no other games.

Well, it just depends on how they define it. Is it going to be average or total, or a combination of both? Either way, if we win, we’ll do fine. And GT earned the right to be towards the top last year too.
