agreed, the ACC desperately needs 2 in. And for the conferences sake both SMU & Clemson need to be competitive. As it stands it looks like the matchups are (if my rankings are accurate)

5 Texas Vs 12 SMU (Winner plays ASU)
6 Notre Dame Vs 11 Clemson (Winner plays Boise state)
7 Ohio state Vs 10 Indiana (winner plays UGA)
8 Penn state Vs Tennessee (winner plays Oregon)

I no longer believe the CFP committee should do a weekly ranking. It should be one 2 day meeting and discussion after Conference Championship games, and the Playoff should be selected and thats it.
The way it is now its judged week to week too much. And it only changes based on that. it's dumb. IT should be a clean sheet ranking after todays games.

Where's the $$$$ in that though?

Does he? I've never heard about that. Everything about Dabo/Clemson just seems different to me. They target very specific type of players that fit their culture/mold and they find a way to win and compete with them. You rarely hear about their players flirting or flipping and vice versa.

They always have small recruiting classes.
Rarely take transfers.
Rarely lose transfers.
And don't often have top 10 classes despite all the success they've had

Yet they're constantly competing with the top 5 teams in the country.

Clemson is an anomaly in today's college football world.
