Yup. Like people will say "championship games don't matter," but that doesn't wash when the leagues are so large and the schedules are as unbalanced as they are. None of the top 3 ACC teams played one another during the regular season, but we played all four of the 5-3 ACC teams (2-2) while SMU only played 2. The championship game has to matter in playoff consideration. If SMU gets blown out and gets in ahead of us am gonna be more ****ed at that than Bama getting in ahead of us.

ACC needs to move title game to warm weather or dome site. Need a destination city and make the game an attraction. Playing in cold weather Charlotte and tarped off seats doesn’t help conference perception.
